Just a personal rant.

Please take time to understand the society
we are living is extremely dangerous.

All of the missing people on the FBI website below is proof
positive there are a lot of criminals at large.
Which means at any time, in any location you can
become a victim. Especially if you are a child or female.

Do what's necessary to protect yourself and children.
This is not a joking matter. Many children and
women are missing, presumed dead.

Again..these missing people indicates these
kidnappers and murderers are still at large.
Hundreds of these creeps are still perpetrating
horrible crimes.

It's paramount you take essential steps to
protect yourself.

I don't mean to downplay the subject of missing persons, but I just checked that link and it's like... 15 or fewer people per year? 110 total outstanding missing persons cases?
Am I reading that right?

Yet the likes of Cathy Hochul (However its spelled) would have you believe that "People do not need to carry everywhere".
Good old NY and their anti gun laws that infringe on the "Right to bear arms".

I have no source yet other than to say that it was a live press conference today on Spectrum News.

I agree totally that we need to protect ourselves at all costs. It is not an option because self preservation is hard wired mechanic of our self.

I'm currently fighting to keep my rights because of an incident that was falsely reported. I can't even imagine having to use the police to protect me when they generally arrive 20 minutes after the incident.

I may be indifferent when it comes to police. I think firemen/women have more balls than cops do. *Shrugs*

Where was I going with this now?

more than 600,000 people go missing annually. Approximately 4,400 unidentified bodies are recovered each year. Nationwide, there are roughly 6.5 missing persons for every 100,000 people.

Luckily, the vast majority of missing persons cases are quickly resolved. For example, in 2021, 521,705 missing person cases were reported, more than 485,000 of which were resolved within the year. The number of missing person cases has steadily declined since 1997, when nearly a million people were reported missing. In the past few two decades communication has made it easier to keep in touch with and track persons, allowing missing person reports to fall by over 40%. Still, more than 20,000 missing person cases and 14,000 unidentified body cases remain open.

That FBI list is the least of my concerns in regard to having a reason to protect myself.
What I think should be of more concern are the increasing numbers of un housed that have nothing to loose and food and shelter to gain.
I have to deal with many almost every night. They follow the creek from the city to the outskirts at night and that creek runs straight through my property. They then stop and try to tent up and do stupid crap at night. On a few occasions one or two have wondered up to my porch.....not fun for me nor them I am sure.

Seems a little excessive but you do you man!!!
Honestly I haven't been carrying as much but I rarely need to leave my home. I always carry on my property though, would hate to not have it and need it. Badgers are not cool here.

Your situation may lead to an eventual confrontation.

I grew up in a violent environment and witnessed
a half dozen shootings and personally robbed/mugged
at gun point several times. (South Philly)

My solution:
I was already a 2nd Amendment holder. So I moved
to a better location. No amount of land and property
is worth my life.

Lol as a funny in this situation, I am on the FBI watch list for domestic terrorism. Though I have no affiliation with terrorism as a whole.

Our militia practices readiness drills and preparers for the SHTF situations that are probable this day in age.

They don't want us to be ready they want us to ask them for help. I cant give any more details as militias aren't legal in our state.
