Many folks have no idea that this existed, but in 2020 a Special Purpose Acquisition Company(SPAC) was created called Pine Island Acquisition.

SPACs are commonly created but this one has some special interests that almost NO ONE is even aware of.

"Pine Island’s team includes Tony Blinken, Biden’s choice to be secretary of State, and retired Gen. Lloyd Austin, nominated to be secretary of Defense.
Since the initial pitch, the SPAC has raised over $218 million [my opinion is this is a laundering SPAC]. Records from November indicate that at least two major Wall Street players took ownership stakes.
The SPAC proposal pitched unique access and insight into the federal government."

Keep in mind that many of these individuals are directly tied to Raytheon and the defense/offense industry.

Here is the governance board.

The interesting thing of this all is that elections are a month away and this SPAC has decided to DISSOLVE.

"As of the close of business on October 28, 2022, the Public Shares will be deemed cancelled and will represent only the right to receive the redemption amount."
finance.yahoo.com...

So a SPAC created directly before the 2020 election, that IMO was a likely source of massive laundering is now deciding to close directly before conservatives take control of the House. That is amazing and not a single source has questioned this.

This is America in 2022 folks.

If a SPAC raises $1b and issues 100m shares, that puts the share price at $10.

Through their process of looking through a target, they’ll spend money on various fees.

If they dissolve, anyone who held shares gets their $10 back minus fees, usually like 9.50-9.90

The only way to have laundered money would be if they lied on the fees and pocketed it.

Hurricane Ian hit Pine Island, Fl and was cut off for a week or so. Pine Island and the canals and beaches of the Gulf coast have a high level of illegals using the water systems to come to America. So much so the areas use to get extra money from the feds. It's not talked about much but was interesting.

What you speak of though seems like a major national security concern.

Don't confuse the location with the name.

Fake news. Look at a map and tell my why any illegal Illegal alien would not only add 75+ miles to their trip by going to SWFL, but then also pass numerous beaches, roads and barrier islands to get to Pine Island. There are no beaches in pine island, do you really think they’re dropping illegals off at the marina?

This has nothing to do with the LOCATION of Pine Island. Why is this hard to understand?

This has to do with the name of the SPAC, NOT THE LOCATION.

Publicly traded entities aren’t the best pick for laundering. That’s not to say it is never done, but there are far easier routes.

You haven’t really provided any evidence or even a way this money has or could have been laundered. You’ve just pointed out the SPAC existed and has dissolved.

Here, I’ll help since so far the thread has no legs.

If you want to sleuth on how money can be hidden via SPAC, I’ll give you the main ways. I traded SPACs for two years and still hold a stock post deSPAC.

This is trickier for insiders and pipe investors as they’re generally under a lockup period where they can’t trade their shares they got at $10 or sub 10 levels.

They can’t sell, but they can hedge. This behavior still has to be reported, but they can sell options and collect the premiums if they know there’s no news on the horizon. This is one place you could look.

They could have friend or family members trade ahead of news, or no news. Though, if you look at the charts, there were few opportunities aside from launch, and even then the trade could have gone down or sideways depending on cost basis.

They could pocket fees as I said before, but this would have been trivial for a SPAC with a 200m market cap.

The only “easy” way for insiders to pocket money is with a merger or a good rumor of merger. Seeing as they dissolved and are planning to return the invested money, there wasn’t a lot of room for opportunity here.

All the big trades from insiders (if any since most can’t sell) are public. So if you’re going to throw out the possibility OP, go ahead and dig around, you can find all the filings and even go through the financials if you know how to read and lightly audit them.

No, it's because he's very knowledgeable in that field. If I were you, I would at least try to understand what he has to say instead of a response like that.

You assume everyone is like you and everything is "legal" or on the up and up .
Word up , it's not .

I have no doubt that Biden, the DNC, and even the RNC have rampant insider trading and dark money for their campaigns.

But PACs are far better sources, and stocks that don't have your name or associates on the papers. There's a possibility there's nefarious doings with this SPAC, but far less likely since it's dissolving. If they found a target I'd be a lot more suspicious.

You and four of your buddies each throw 200k in a pool to by a commercial property. You have 1m and spend 20k on lawyers and fees for searching for a target. Nothing is found and you divide out the 980k. This is like that except the asset is publicly traded and in theory someone could make money on the swings like I listed. But all their shares were locked up and a target was never found.

I'm interested in government wrongdoing and I'm not partisan to either side. But I find no use in looking at the wrong places for too long.

All the filings and Financials are there for anyone who wants to look. But as of now this looks like a wild goose chase. If someone provides evidence I'll eat crow even though I said it's highly improbable, but not impossible.

Fake news? It's in homeland security government docs for 1. 2nd I have seen this first hand 5 times. 20+ times on local news with pics and video. 3rd my deceased uncle use to run airboats for some cowboys and had a multitude of stories we did not beleive until confirmed later. 4th My great grandpa was a boat captain with many stories and more than 1 incident report. 5th The extra funding was original confirmed by the long time head of homicide in cape coral. Unconfirmed I dated a girl that told me her dad was paid by a cartel to take some boats in on his canal dock and look the otherway.

I was having fun with some random thoughts on the pime island thing for sure. However maybe not the ideal location which makes it more.of a ideal location. This has and does happen 100%. I will admit I can't remember any reports sense the pandemic atleast. Heres 1 source.
