Nurse, we need some help here.

Who cares what Ukraine choose to do, and the national narrative they want to stick with. It does not make them Nazis.

The Russians demonise people who they considered to have betrayed them. Decades of propaganda. As such, there are significant myths surround Stephan Bandera.

In the context of the time, where Ukraine was dealing with terrible mistreatment from the Russians and the Nazis, he sought the creation of an independent Ukraine. Free from the jack boot of Stalin and Hitler. He was a fascist, antisemite and a Ukrainian nationalist. Definitely flawed, but he was just one of millions who had a world-view which was skewed and polarised by the wider politics and ideologies of the time.

New images emerged on social media showing the Chongar Strait railway bridge linking occupied Crimea with Kherson Oblast was damaged in a Ukrainian strike on Saturday. The images show a hole blasted precisely between the two sets of railroad tracks on one of the approaches to the span, with both tracks being damaged as a result.

A large crater now exists between them. A satellite image also shows the damage. Russian officials say the bridge was attacked by U.K. donated Storm Shadow air-launched cruise missiles. The bridge span itself was unscathed. It's always possible that Ukraine hopes to preserve the span for its own use in the future.

The images contradict earlier claims by a Russian-backed official.

Been hearing all that since the day Putin ordered his troops to invade Ukraine.
Still waiting.

Been hearing about the crackdown, martial law, blah blah blah since I was in my teens - a lot of years ago.
Still waiting.

As a Serb, do you celebrate the likes of Milosevic and Karadzic and their genocide?

That regime certainly needed to go.

Calm down. Ukraine has a history of oppression by both the Nazi's and Russia. On balance, Russia with their genocide and ethnic cleansing probably took a greater toll.

Currently, Russia is killing Ukrainians.

You'd be hard-pressed to find many Ukrainians who are sympathetic to Russia, give the history and the present behaviour.

But you gain no credit for continuing to paint Ukrainians as Nazis. They are not.

STOP protecting a Nazi DEAD Stephan Bandera as a national holiday.

It’s the nazi Ukrainian regime killing themselves.

Continue watching it. It’s only going to get even worse for them. Only so many numbers and it’s a waiting game.

How many more can Ukraine scrap the ocean floor for recruits in the long run?

Here in the US for 80+ years we have had US military bases named after traitorous generals from the Civil War, as well as schools named after these and other other traitorous generals. This traitorous rebellion kept US soldiers in horrible conditions, which caused many to die. There are still statues up in some places commemorating these traitorous murderers; until 2020, there was a larger-than-life statue of Nathan Bedford Forrest, the first Grand Wizard of the KKK?
Does this somehow make the US government bad and illegitimate?

George A Custer, a Union officer, went on to massacre Native American women, children and old people, and he was considered a hero. John Pershing, was a US general who was deeply involved in the brutal counterinsurgency war in the Philippines, yet he is considered an American hero to this day. Does this somehow make the US government bad and illegitimate and make its people bad? Never mind all the additional slaughtering and ethnic cleansing of Native Americans by other US commanders. Does that make the US a bad nation with no right to self-defense and self-determination?

This is essentially the argument you are making against Ukraine and the Ukrainians.

In case you weren't aware the Putin government is bringing back the cult of Stalin as part of its nationalism schtick. Stalin instigated a campaign to take food from Ukrainians between 1931 and 1934, which caused a famine there that killed at least 5 million people. This episode is called the Holodomor, as per what @OC2 was referring to. Yet I don't hear you criticizing the Russian government or calling for its downfall.

And by the way, the president of Ukraine is a Jew, so I really doubt he is bullish on antisemites.

It seems in many cases that the people criticizing Ukraine do not hold Russia to the same high standards. Wonder why that is...

It's called hypocrisy.

Extreme times fostered extreme views.

Unfortunately, those times have returned.

Those who don't learn from history, are doomed to repeat it.

Whereas, Russia has no need to conscript by decree including scraping the bottom of its prisons?

And just recently by raising the maximum age by five years for calling back former Russian soldiers and officers. No, the Russian army isn't desperate for replacements, digging to the bottom of the barrel, calling up generals up to age 70.

This is the reason that they are after Russia, agenda 2030 s a pillar of the NWO, and it seems that the Russian Federation hasn't bothered with the website for a while. It might have taken a few other countries with them. sustainabledevelopment.un.org...

1 August Update

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin claimed that Russian air defense downed several drones flying towards Moscow, and geolocated footage shows that one drone struck the 21st floor of the IQ-Kvartal Tower in central Moscow City.[5] Russian media reported that the target of the strike was the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, located on the IQ-Kvartal Tower’s 21st floor.

Two Belarusian helicopters reportedly violated Polish airspace on August 1. Polish officials reported that two Belarusian helicopters entered Polish airspace on August 1 and that Poland will increase its troop presence at the Polish-Belarusian border in response.

Ukrainian forces continued counteroffensive operations on at least three sectors of the front and reportedly advanced near Bakhmut on August 1. Ukrainian officials reported that Ukrainian forces continued gradually advancing near Bakhmut, and a Russian source claimed that Ukrainian forces captured an unspecified height south of Bakhmut near Klishchiivka.

The Russians were waiting for us': Ukraine troops describe tougher fight than expected...............

"SOUTHERN DONETSK PROVINCE, Ukraine (Reuters) - They rode into a kill zone. The timing was off. Many men were lost. In the end, they recaptured the ruined village of Staromaiorske, claiming Ukraine's biggest advance for weeks.

Troops at the spearhead of Ukraine's counteroffensive say a battle last week along the front in the southeast proved to be tougher and bloodier than expected, with plans going awry and an enemy that was well-prepared.

"The Russians were waiting for us," said a 29-year-old soldier using the call-sign Bulat, from a unit sent into battle in armoured vehicles during last week's assault.

"They fired anti-tank weapons and grenade launchers at us. My vehicle drove over an anti-tank mine, but everything was ok, the vehicle took the hit, and everyone was alive. We dismounted and ran towards the cover. Because the most important is to find cover and then move on.”

Tales of the battle of Staromaiorske, recounted to Reuters near the frontline in southeastern Ukraine, give an indication of why Kyiv's boldest counteroffensive of the war, soon entering its third month, has proven a slower and bloodier slog than anticipated." uk.style.yahoo.com...

Remember the west said that they wouldn't allow Ukraine to use their weapons on Russian soil? That narrative seems to have been wiped from MSM completely now the drone attacks are ramping up.

They are not using weapons that The West supplied against targets inside Russia.

The drones they are sending are manufactured in Ukraine.

Well, it was actually West supplied weapons that we did not allow to be used against Russian soil .

These are Ukraine built drones.

Your own narrative is false.

I think you're correct that global distribution of food may change. I never understood why they imported apples from New Zealand into Europe while the apples fell off of trees in Europe and rotted because no one harvested them.

I'd bet on it that the British and Yanks are planning and orchestrating the drone attacks on Russia. This whole neo colonial attempt at a takeover of Russian interests is backed by the same forces as usual from the West, gun fodder Ukrainian young lads trained and supplied by the same forces to be sent to the trenches and expended as statistics, the takeover of what was known as 'independent' Ukraine by western TPTB who are hell bent on achieving this aim even if million including you and me suffer accept the damage, they are like rabid dogs chewing on the leash to kill innocent Russian speakers and take over yet another Slavic land and brain wash the natives into believing it's the right thing to do to hand over independent thought and state hood to replaced by the leadership in Berlin and Washington.

Ukraine is dragging out old S200 ( NATO designation SA 5 Gammon) anti aircraft missiles and converting them to cruise missiles similar to what Russia did with S300 missiles

Goes to show you there is no such thing as obsolete weapons

2 August Update

Russian forces conducted a drone strike on the night of August 1-2 that destroyed port infrastructure in Odesa Oblast including 40,000 tons of grain. The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Russian forces conducted a Shahed drone strike targeting Kyiv and Odesa oblasts and that Ukrainian air defenses destroyed 23 drones, but an unspecified number of drones struck port infrastructure in Odesa Oblast.

Russian media reported that the Russian MoD provided machine guns, anti-drone guns, and UAZ vehicles to the Belgorod and Kursk Oblast Territorial Defense forces. . . . The repeated allocation of additional military assets to Belgorod and Kursk oblasts indicates that the Kremlin is growing increasingly concerned about continued attacks on Russia's border with Ukraine.

Ukrainian forces continued counteroffensive operations on at least three sectors of the front and reportedly advanced near Bakhmut on August 2. The Ukrainian General Staff reported that Ukrainian forces conducted offensive operations near Bakhmut and in the Berdyansk (Zaporizhia-Donetsk Oblast area) and Melitopol directions (western Zaporizhia Oblast).
