The greatest secret of science is both known and unknown. Discovered, yet lost. Come to pass, but also doomed to repeat itself. This secret is not one
that brings doom or enlightenment, but it may feel that both would apply. It may also be perceived as damnation by some or the never-ending natural
cycle by others.
You see, this secret is the very life of science while at the same time it’s ultimate death. It is the immutable law of the universe that for every
new discovery and every original thought brought into existence by a sentient mind one is lost…the last secret of science. A universal limit of
understanding.
Eons have gone by where civilizations have advanced to the golden age of science and technology where they have come to truly know the nature of the
universe, and ultimately to know their fate. These advanced civilizations rise and fall, only to rise again in similar form.
It has been invariability debated by the philosophers of each civilization to know the secret what the end of the universe looks like, many of which
expect a regression to point where no sentient being exists. This is likely come to pass as the universe is young and the number of sentience beings
relatively few. But, as time progresses and new species and civilizations arise throughout the cosmos, there will be less and less scientific
understanding for the sentient beings to draw upon thanks to the final immutable law.
Some civilizations seek to change this fate through further scientific discovery, only to reset their progress faster. Some malevolent and warlike
civilizations, strike out trying to alter their destiny while the universe is still young and underpopulated, destroying all life that they find. This
too is doomed to failure, as the scientific discovery allotted to our universe cruelly allows us to know our fate but lack enough progress to truly
influence the entire plain of existence.
This all will be known and forgotten until the end of time. And sentient beings will continue to discover the remnants of past generations wondering
how much more had come before, potentially never being afforded the opportunity to know the final scientific secret as time continues to march on.
The End.
