Plasterer by trade, used to be a civil servant way back?

Not his first version, GoS?

A former member from the most south west county in England.
He started The Banter Cafe where we used to hang out and talk cod# to each other.

He was a mate, good craic.....but sometimes he just couldn't keep his mouth shut.

I lost his contact details somehow so have been unable to contact him for years.

I think you've got the man.
Good guy.

I was going to meet up with him on a Scooter Rally and we'd talked about going to a festival near Exeter but he went and got himself banned!🤣

I don't know how but I lost all his contact details.

We used to have some great laughs in The Banter Cafe.....in between putting the world to rights in our uniquely British way.
It was where Carpy revealed his fondness for 'You know who'.
Plenty of piss taking - it is after all our national sport.

I'm sure you used to pop in every now and then?

They shut The Cafe down when he got banned....don't really know why.
I think it might have been too exclusively 'British'.

We had spoken to DTOM about rebranding it - she was quite receptive to the idea - but for some reason never got round to it.
But I'm not sure it'd be the same without CCG?

Iwas pretty mentally unstable for a good while so I don't remember as much as most.

That said the times he and some of the other UK members were still about were a lot more fun in the off topics thats for sure.

There's still some great Brits around - two or three who I consider genuine friends.
But there was a good few around back then.

I miss quite a few of them.

But it is what it is and we must all find a way to move forward in a positive manner and not dwell too much on the past.
We can learn from the past, but we can't live there.

Personally, I just concentrate on putting one foot in front of the other, appreciate what and who I have in my life and try to live my life in accordance with my own personal moral code and values.

BS, we suffer a lot under the EU as in, we the German people. It's the corrupt politicians that ruin it and are under the same banner than other globalist. No matter what party you vote, it's all the same BS, they all comply under the same idea.

But history prevents people to step up because the media has coined new terms to deter anyone from protesting or speaking up. If you do, you now are a querdenker and it means like "diagonal thinker" as in, not aligned with the zombie like mass opinion.

People get flagged by authorities just for speaking up against Corona measures and other bs. Hitlers tactics used on the population just this time "the right" is used as a deterring term to keep anyone from speaking up. Because if you do, you are "right-wing" and that's a brush, because of our history, nobody wants to be painted with.

I don't blame them for wanting to come here. I blame the leftists and useless RINOS for letting them stay.

Those were the days.

Never understood why being a little off topic was such a 'bad thing'

As for mentioning "you know who"?

Just explained that to Mrs Carpy.

Her response?

Why are you talking to all these ars#holes"?

But yes, I miss the olden times.

I genuinely wouldn't worry about what liz and that bloke who is Chancellor can't remember his name yet are doing, it's out of our hands, they just do what their bosses tell them. The sun will still rise tomorrow, water will be in your taps, the music even though it's gone a bit iffy these days will still play, the robins will fly the buzzards too, Britain will meddle in the affairs of other countries and you will use the toilet and wipe your bum, maybe have some fish and chips and a couple of beers. Nothing will change

You always make complete sense!!

I will take that as a compliment and you yourself are much more than welcome

No surprise that I agree with all of that. You’ve added some nuance to my sweeping rant.

She’s a nasty piece of work. I do wonder if she’s really this stupid, or if there’s something we don’t know and they’re crashing the economy on purpose; perhaps to kill the NHS, with the warnings of cutting public services. Or factions infighting between the city and, well, who’s payroll might Trussolini be on?

All said and done, though it’s probably as simple as her and kamikwasi being idiots high on hubris. I’ve heard a rumour that the two of them are shagging and if true adding that to the mix might further explain their bonnie and Clyde bank raid of the economy.

Your point on Brexit meaning we can at least vote out the deplorables has always been the bottom line in the brexit debate imo.

Loud, at 120 Watts loud.

I hope Carpy doesn't read that rumour about Truss and KamiChameleon - I'm going to see how many deliberate plays on his surname I can manage before someone accuses me of racism - its the sort of thing that might just tip him over the edge.

The thing is, we need to get people to realise that we can make real change....but as I said, most people just want to get on with their lives the best they can.
And I absolutely understand and respect that.

But when it starts impacting those things like food, roof and family people will react.
I don't know how far away we are from that point.

Cool song.
Not looked into the details behind todays news.

Mrs F has had a Bacardi too many methinks and is retiring for the night.
The Grandson has just finished his homework - 1066 and all that. I did give him my take on things, he just looked at me and said I was mad!

So I think I might have an hour of The Reytons - fabulous band, got to keep in touch and all that - and then whatever takes my fancy.

🍺🍺

Watching Question Time.

Fiona Bruce saying Manchester was the birthplace of The Industrial Revolution. Don't they have researchers ?

The correct answer is Ironbridge Shropshire.

Pillock.
