The best "multiple data points" married up and brought together for you to understand where the world is going by Peter Zeihan, ive done a lot of research and study in most areas here but ive never seen somebody bring it all together so brilliantly as Peter here so it was very very good to see him knock it out the park like this... FINALLY somebody who gets it, the real world situation without utter conspiracy BS and hyper-polorised far right and far left tankies thinking putins is Bro and communism is king

And if you're really paying attention, you might be able to realize its been DECADES in the making thats these chess pieces have been moving in anticipation for the next war or real redlines, Taiwan & Ukraine are the real redlines that will never be crossed without flipping a switch were all about to see

If you were a fly on the wall of a Kremlin CCP meeting for the past 60/70 years, you'd probably know full well like anybody with half a brain they were never ever in a million years going to work with the west on anything, what they wanted was REVENGE, a lot like BLM while pretending to give a fk about anything other than Marxism and divisions, and now they're all going to be tested and destroyed and DE-globalization wrecks the planet... only one walks away from this

A new axis powers of autocratic regimes which collectively shares the same goals of destroying western civilization, which it interprets and makes friends across the world as destroying US hegemony, NOT TRUE... oh what a silly mistake that was... or "the rules based international order" which it actually is...is a vast collective of nations which share very similar morals, world views, and strategic interests, and thats what is really behind russias move on Ukraine and ccp move on Taiwan, because they're the first moves in if allowed would be the end of that international order

Either way, the next few years are going to be all about this confrontation, great power competition, and they're going to be very very trying for all of us, and the 3rd world? massive massive war and famines IMO, potentially billions could die from both war and the collapse of supply chains, because its all come back home away from ungrateful revengeful freaks who deserve everything they get going forward

Another appropriate layer

There's a good chance that world population will be reduced by 50% by then.

logically the first great depression ended globalism and led to the first great war, the second great depression led to an end of that iteration of globalism and led to the next great war ww2..

since 2008/8 we've been heading down the same path among this dying iteration of globalism..

great depressions kill globalism and lead to great wars and there are no leaders available to prevent it only a bunch of careerists trying to out populist each other.. end of the day we're stuffed..

That is easy....

China and Russia will be in control as the fires and nuclear fallout in former USA start to burn out.

At least..I believe the Georgia Guidestones said 500 million..that is why they were destroyed. They moved the timeline up and people weren't dropping liked flies like they had hoped..
BTW..what will they do with my dog and cat after they terminate me? My BC is 8 and a half and my cat is 6..food is already outrageous and kitty litter is hard to find..and here's the biggie..if something urgent were to happen to my babies after my regular vets hours, I could potentially have to travel as much as 146 kms..thats after contacting them and figuring out who can see him..it is very sad state of affairs

Good chance of multiple major wars, famine and major nations being broken up into city or state level entities as the fight continues.

In the next 5 years I bet the US along with some NATO countries will contrive some bulls### reason to invade a poor South American country. Of course, they will sell it as we are saving the people from some tyrant or regime as we kill 1,000s with our bombs.

And purely by coincidence, that country will be rich in rare earth minerals and we will show them the benevolence of capitalism by helping them extract those minerals through our corperations.

The only way the US and European nations can stay on top is by keeping other nations from lifting themselves up. I forget the name of the guy who made and submitted a plan to such effect going back to 1940- 50s. He was a US ambassador to the USSR. He wrote a paper/plan about breaking up the USSR into smaller countries while installing puppet regimes while also repressing other countries. It was a long term plan to be carried out over decades.

I am pretty sure the basic principles and direction it outlined are still in play.

You could say this has been long in the planning, But these plans made never go according to plan. China might want Taiwan back in the CCP but they don't want a cinder block, they would essentially be bombing their own property. This and other factors occurring make internal stability the main driving factor at the moment. If the food gets low even the millions in the Army will be deployed in maintaining internal order. They will only be effective as long as they get fed. The average Chinese citizen is a capitalist at heart and just wants a full bank account to measure their life's success by.The Banks are failing at the moment and the CCP will have to take up the losses. Any attempt at expansionism at this point would be crazy. Zero covid means that vast areas of the economy are being closed down and disrupted. which is probably an excuse to ration the falling power output. Modern China to survive needs energy which like all other countries do not have.
Russia has been literally goaded into moving into Ukraine, they needed it like you need a headache. So if they had to do it why not make it pay. They don't want the pro-Ukraine areas as they would be getting more than a headache, they only want the pro-Russian areas, and they wondered what took them so long to come. Russia was happy selling their gas to Europe, any normalization of relations between Russia and Europe puts a thorn in the side of American Hegemony, so in America's interests, they had to end it. The only reason they could do it is that most of the Western European states have had their governments run from Washington. Because Washington runs NATO, it only exists because of a created common enemy which seems to be rhetoric anyway. This will probably end when the chaos starts, America cant feed, and power Europe and itself.

Resurgent Ukraine will be better armed than Russia and will have taken back it's territory possibly plus some more.

Russia will be closer to China, western industry will have been withdrawn from China but China will still hold the legacy of all that industry the west built for itself there to use there people as cheap labour while de-industrialising the west.

The west will have to rapidly re-industrialize if it is going to have any chance of standing up but currently there is a severe deficit of competent leadership in the west and even though militarily and numerically we still have the edge with our combined populations and military the wrong people are in charge and they will likely trash our chances of restoring our industrial base in almost every nation other than Germany and Poland with the possible addition of France.

Britain however faced with an idiot truss (Appropriate name as her actions will tie our nation down) for a potential leader of the Tory's whom is dead set on destroying the poorest in our society over healing our nation and a pathetic labour leader by the name of Keir Starmer whom is also inept and unwilling to make these essential privatisation and investments into our industry will miss the step as it would require massive government investment in industry, protectionism in the form of subsidies and possible part or whole privatisation of essential industrial sectors and energy.

This is not about socialism or capitalism but it is about survival in the face of a fully industrialized and resource rich duo that are likely to hold the upper hand even if Russia loses badly in the Ukraine as that will be a gift to China into whose arm's they will them have been pushed.

Our only hope is to get our nations re-industrialized, stop the lunatic's that are killing our people (I know that falls into conspiracy theory but let's be fair if Agenda 2030 is real and if they are really going to try to cull the population while China is now trying to GROW it's population the outcome of that is obvious, China will hold all the cards in the future as they will be the one with the strongest population and able then to take over the nations with the falling populations).

The grand schemes of the elite have taken us down this road, back in the aftermath of the French revolution the rich of many European nations orchestrated way's to rid themselves of the poor, England eventually settled on exporting people to other parts of the world, after the Russian revolution the elite once again feared the poor and then when the cold war came to an end they saw our populations as excessive and dangerous so orchestrated methods to cull them, economics is a weapon in there hand's but they are not the only ones playing the game as Russia a wild card and China not under there control despite there belief proven wrong that it was show.

Make no mistake while we see the enemy they want us to see our real enemy is much closer to home and pull's the strings on our government's and our bank's.

Look how fast they bailed out the bank's but now they won't bail out there own people when energy crisis hit.

Our governments are NOT for our people but often against them.

Or else they would be doing as they did with the bank's, taking the power company's into national ownership until the energy crisis is over, thus ensuring that our economy's would survive by keeping the all too essential cost of energy down AND ensuring the energy company's which would be then like the bank's returned to private ownership once the crisis was over also survived through this economic cataclysm.

By comparison the failure of the bank's would have been less catastrophic than this energy crisis.

What will the world look like in five years, I am a pessimist, if the Ukraine grows strong enough to push the Russians out they may want to then invade Russia while they have the advantage, Russia may then launch a nuclear counter attack.

Even a limited nuclear war would leave reduced light and radioactive fallout over much of the western hemisphere, on top of food crisis caused by draught, energy prices and failing economy's we would have famine caused by darkening of the sky's.

Our nations will be picking up the pieces and likely under martial law or something very close to it.

Perhaps this is the tribulations starting.

I think there will not be a housing shortage in five years. The Dead and Breathless industry will have lots of openings.

Today is no different than the myriad of days before it... people constantly (my mother included) crow that the world today is different, but all you have to do is look at the world (in the human context) today against the world 100 years ago, and 100 years before that etc and little if anything has changed...

Same body, new coat of paint the odd little bit attached here and there... but...

The world of today on average is greatly improved than the world of yesteryear. Which is the funny thing omitted by the doom and gloom end of the world Jesus is coming again crowd.

So in 5 years the worlds gonna be here, humanity will be here, some new tech, some new discoveries, new fashions maybe... but the macro scale layer of humanity will still be as its been for the last 2000+ years and as it will be 100+ years to come.

If i was to wish for a change or two in the next 5 years, id go with ruZZia is as a country is broken and a thing of history and mankind is finally back stepping out into the solar system with a new permanent and growing lunar presence and the final steps for the journey to Mars are being put in place or even completed.
