There is a pilot who does some great breakdown videos of ATC comms and such on events like this. You'd honestly be surprised at the extent of damage you can endure on a commercial plane before its actually doomed. Losing an engine is nothing over the top...and there are very specific procedures to put out the fire before any significant structural damage is done. You should watch some of his breakdowns then watch some ATC emergency comma vids and realize this type of thing actually happens more than you'd think and isn't much of a deal. Even the pilots on the com are generally calm and chill when facing issues.

Lol...those are literally the type of videos I suggested in my above reply. That in combination of watching a bunch of pilot breakdowns of those type of events have proven to me that events that actually put the pilots on edge and in real jepordy are very rare and most commercial airplanes are built like tanks.
