Well this is not good

Enough with the cancer! You are not allowed. I just my mother in law to it, my mom is recovering from her third primary, and now a friend in my training group has diagnosed with breast and she's terrified. My job is cancer, and seeing names I know cross my desk kills me. I processed my friend's order.

You simply are not allowed. So we'll hope and pray for good news that it's something simple.

You've had a lot of positive things going on recently, (move, lady) so I'll just stay optimistic for you, that IF you do have it, it is caught early and easily treatable.

I'm waiting on getting health insurance again, so I can get the hubby in for a full checkup. He has a lot of cancer in his family, so I really want to get him checked soon.

And that sucks about the chemicals. We are going through that with my mom, as she grew up in a town that was the same way, and the EPA just turned a blind eye to it.

My grandpa had prostate cancer, he had hormone treatments for years and lived to be 92, he eventually died of a heart attack. They kept his cancer under control for a long long time!
My dad also died from cancer, a tumor that started behind his eye and eventually it spread...

I myself had cervix cancer back in 2019, very early stage. There were several treatment options but I chose the most radical one: take it all out asap so it can never come back... Took a couple of days to convince them to do the surgery. Never regretted it!

Even though your numbers are high...you must not have symptoms or you would have felt something by now I would think. I haven't done any research on this subject yet. I have read some general information but have not actually researched what food chemistry reduces the risk of prostate cancer and which foods increased the risk very much. Like most of this kind of stuff, I have to spend many weeks researching things before I will comment, my eyes have been sore so reading research for sixty hours these days is not possible. I already know some general anticancer food and herb chemistries but the research needs to include multiple metabolic paths and I have not found any non-bias research interpretations that go into subjects like this deeply and come up with proper evaluations of how to deter things. Genetics is involved and so is environmental influence which includes diet. Epigenetics basically governs how much of certain enzymes, hormones, and proteins are formed. Using this epigenetics and evaluating it to form a proper diet to limit the problem is not simple and highly variable between people.

Sorry I cannot help with prostate cancer risk right now, I haven't gone into depth with that yet.

There are so many variables with this kind of stuff, and we don't know exactly mixing all the chemicals used in growing, processing, and increasing shelf life are going to do when crossreacted with each other in foods. Going from five thousand to fifty thousand chemicals approved makes it almost impossible to evaluate.

Good luck Dave, one thing is that they can get rid of this fairly well these days if they catch it before it spreads. My cousin just had his prostate removed about a year ago and he is doing pretty good, they got it in time.

Blues and twos for me after a choking fit.
Paramedics heard something on my lung while on the way to Hospital.
My follow up letter says its likely down me me inhaling my own vomit and is benign and not of clinical concern.
Doesn't help my nerves during the 4 to 6 week wait.

Gleason 9 stage 4 Prostate Cancer. Subsequent TURP [Trans urtheral resection prostate] followed by biopsy showing the stages. Followed by Robotic Surgery with lengthy recovery. So I am speaking more of a fully recovered [2 years now]

I will watch your thread to see if you update. Absolutely get your biopsy as fast as possible. If they do a TURP first be certain they do a biopsy then. This is an absolute necessity. If they defer that procedure in lieu of biopsy...agree.

If a Dr tells you you are not a candidate for further surgery get another opinion.
It happened to me, and the first Dr told me I was not long for this world. he was totally wrong. I am still here after two years and a less than zero psa.

I did not recover in a week
First: Do the biopsy. Second. do the biopsy. The biopsy is key. If it is very high: mine was Gleason 9 stage 4! Be sure to get a second opinion if surgery is not recommended. So it depends on your biopsy and its stages.
