Washington, D.C., leaders and academics turned to prisoners this week to help find answers on how to address the rampant crime in the city. "There are a lot of subject-matter experts in here," a correctional officer told D.C. Director of Gun Violence Prevention Linda K. Harllee Harper at the Correctional Treatment Facility on Wednesday, the Washington Post reported.
"That is where the answers will come from," Harllee Harper responded.

That's Ms Harper in the background with the stupid look on her face.

Her face looks awfully familiar.

A prisoner at the D.C. jail, Sylvester Jones, suggests that WDC should trade “Music Studio time in exchange for turning in weapons. That way, he said, officials could steer the community away from music that glorifies guns and shootings. “They’re killing each other for sport, and it’s motivated by music,” said Jones.
The woke stupidity of Mz Harper is exemplified by not taking the responsibility to research, nor follow the science. Asking the prisoners for help, is like asking the starving fox on how to stay out of the hen house.
Truly feckless and pathetic.

There reality is based on emotion and not science.
There reality is a delusional falsehood, enforced by the current delusional regime.
The next thing that Mz Harper will be doing, is throwing down chicken bones and sprinkling blood.

Gangster rap did get a lot of support from the big studios in getting started. Some rumors of CIA involvement to intentionally get the black community to kill itself.

Music does have a big influence over time with the culture of the community. Education does make a difference and what they spend all day listening to is a big part of that. Lots of artists out there these days. As a start to fixing these communities can think of worst ideas. This kind of change is one person at a time. As for where it goes long term? Might not get a lot of people taking it up, if it helps a few step up to be more, cool.

I think there is some value in talking with prisoners to find out motivations, etc. Particularly young teens who make bad decisions joining gangs, etc.

A big issue in many urban communities is boredom combined with poverty. Idle hands and minds are the devils workshop. How do you break that cycle?

If resources are provided, then criminals can't use that as an excuse....
