I just saw this add on tv!

Subaru have not competed in the world rally championship for over ten years, we see a flash of an early Colin McRae 2door In the Ad do you not realise he has passed on, show some respect trying to cash in on a deceased person.

Subaru don’t sell a false dream, your cars are no homologation specials, as you don’t compete in WRC!

The plastic wheel arches look cheap and ugly.

Your cars are boring, and trading on glory days.

For some reason I've always had an irrational hatred of Subarus. I think it is because so many greenie woke yuppies drive them in the Seattle area. I won't do it, of course, but I'd like to push the off the road.

Yeah, but what if they have kayak racks on top?
Can they pass as masculine?

My God! You must have been here! Kayaks are required before the vehicle can be registered.

I only have a Subaru because of my wife's family's connection to them. My Foresters have been decent street cars, but my 2001 Range Rover is my go-to off-road vehicle.

You haven't seen the Wilderness editions yet? I have a Wilderness Outback and I'm the opposite of a yuppie, you must not of ever driven one, they drive like a Cadillac.

I never thought I'd own a Subaru but two years ago the GF talked me into it and now I'm hooked, they are nice cars and pretty rugged too. After the first one we liked it so much we got a second one a year later to replace out sh!+ box Hyundai, I chose the Wilderness Outback and what a joy to drive it is, very little driver fatigue and not too much is a challenge for it.

I bought a 2017 STI about 4 months ago. It’s my first scoobie.

It needed to be “de-teenagered” a bit. It’s actually a great little car.

Pros:
Fun 6 speed
Reliable/useful tech
Makes enough power to be enjoyable
Handles fair well
Cool modes/adjustable diff
Solid build quality for what it is
Good sound system for a factory unity.
Tons of cool, reasonably priced JDM parts available online (factory).
Cheap to maintain/easy to wrench on.
Huge amount of performance parts available.

Cons:
Bushing are soft everywhere
Rattles/everything needs tightening
Some of the US spec aspects of it look not so great vs. JDM
Police attention (but I have enough gray that I don’t get pestered too much).

I bought it for a winter DD, and, I’m pretty stoked about it so far. It might get added to my collection after all.

Subaru engine tech is extremely dated.
