Definitely not natural but now we run into explanations of "from a mission"

"NASA's Mars Perseverance rover acquired this image of the area in front of it using its onboard Front Right Hazard Avoidance Camera A. This image was acquired on July 12, 2022 (Sol 495) at the local mean solar time of 16:56:25. (Image Credit: NASA/JPL-Caltech)"

The popular theory, confirmed by a NASA spokesperson in an email to Gizmodo, is that the stringy clump is debris from the mission.

Have we polluted Mars to the point we are going to find Beer tabs and plastic bottles or is it an easy cover up to say it's our trash ?

I dunno, they explain everything away. That looks organic to me. Some strange nodules on some of the fibres/limbs.

Not quite but we have left a lot of junk up there , the team found a piece of Mylar in the area a few weeks ago so more than likely this is just more debris.

Root ball or Yucca cordage would be my guess if you just said sand and not Mars.

Yes, we are keeping the rover together with string.

We use the secret space programme to teleport our boys up there and they tie it up.

Posted this a little over a week ago.

Existing thread

Official explanation was debris. I’m assuming from the landing chute

Why don't people use the search function or even read past threads? This was discussed a week ago already.

Lots of weird things in Greenland. Used to have more plant life in the past, maybe?
Or perhaps someone left some string or yarn or old rope behind?

Same reason people don’t post with a modicum of civility anymore, I guess. Or maybe because even a Google search or Duck,Duck,Go won’t find a “String on Mars” thread other than this one. But playing guess the title might since the date was narrowed down.
