Ofcourse! How could they forget the comics!

The US military is planning to win the hearts of young people in the Middle East by publishing a new comic.

"In order to achieve long-term peace and stability in the Middle East, the youth need to be reached," the ad says.

"A series of comic books provides the opportunity for youth to learn lessons, develop role models and improve their education."

Apparently this comic book is collaborative effort with the US Army, who says that it is based on "future operations in the Middle East". Looks like the US Army is starting with pro-war propaganda targeting very young audience - teenagers, who will probably be the soldiers of tomorrow.

Shows also that US Army plans to stay here for a long, Long time.

But with Arab-Super Heroes like this, who can really stand against the 'Psyops':

Zein, aka the Last Pharaoh
Rakan, a hairy medieval warrior in Mesopotamia
Jalila, a brainy Levantine scientist and fighter for justice
Aya, a North African described as a "vixen who roams the region on her supercharged motorbike confronting crime wherever it rears its ugly head"

Filling the cultural gap or brainwashing with pro-Western propaganda? You decide!

Interesting post.

I think the comic is an attempted to win the hearts and minds battle in Iraq in other words to turn the general population against the insurgents will it work? NO for a number of reasons even with this comic there will still be barb wire between GIs and the Iraqi people.

If the comic works to well it could be banned in the likes of Iran in short its an attempted to sway young people in the middle east away from extremists.

I think the fact that the American Government has decided to implement a plan to indoctrinate the youth of a foreign country is a good indicator of an agenda held.

Is it to dissuade future terrorists? That would be the official word....

Could it be to encourage the direction of a society or an interactioning population towards the future profits of those in charge?

I believe money and power like the lines drawn where they are....
