stupid question in xp how do you make a program that does'nt have the option to start on startup start on startup!!?


is it a reg hack?

somthing in MSCONFIG?

Drag or copy/paste a shortcut link into the startup folder.

Start Button > All Programs > Startup

this is not my thread but...

how do i STOP a program from starting up when the comp. starts???

i did it once before in file, run...

but i forgot the command(s) to type in...

any ideas???

thanks...

P.S. my Start Button > All Programs > Startup folder is empty...

Start -->
Run -->

Type msconfig -->




Press OK -->



Choose the STARTUP tab at the top right -->




Uncheck the appropriate application -->

Press OK -->

Next time you restart, it will not start on startup.

yeh another tool that is good as well as msconfig is services.msc . start --> run --> services.msc but err u should read up on stuff before enabling or disabling it
