Why would the "NEWSIES" be too Dangerous to show on TV?

"NEWSIES" one of the best musicals of all time on Disney and a Broadway hit, at some point in time. I'm curious as to why ppl on ATS/BTS, etc. think both the movie networks and TV networks have stopped showing it, almost 2 months before 9-11? I mean these days, they show it like(if were lucky) every 6 months or less, it used to be more like once a month on at least a movie channel. I'm wondering is it "dangerous" to show, b/c it shows teens and kids thinking for themsleves and "changing" the status quo? Or is it b/c "Jack" and Davey are shown capable of outsmarting Mr. Puletzer? Or could it be from any number of reasons(based on the content and context shown in the film)?
