Results from a small cancer trial that left every patient in remission is being praised as “unprecedented” and “remarkable.”

A paper published on Sunday at The New England Journal of Medicine outlined a study of 18 rectal cancer patients who were given dostarlimab every three weeks for six months and ended up cancer-free, including the first patient who is now two years out from the trial.

“I believe this is the first time this has happened in the history of cancer,” said Dr. Luis A. Diaz Jr. said, an author of the paper, The New York Times reported.

Those who took the drug, which “unmasks cancer cells, allowing the immune system to identify and destroy them,” according to the Times, did not have to move on to further cancer treatments.

All the patients “had a clinical complete response, with no evidence of tumor on magnetic resonance imaging,” the paper explained. “At the time of this report, no patients had received chemoradiotherapy or undergone surgery, and no cases of progression or recurrence had been reported during follow-up (range, 6 to 25 months). No adverse events of grade 3 or higher have been reported.”

That’s Pretty amazing .let’s hope it given to every cancer patient , and save some lives .

eleven grand approx. for a ten mg vile. One vile per treatment. Between ten to thirteen weeks usually, So, one hundred ten to one hundred thirty grand for a treatment.

I am sure that there are natural food chemistries that can do the same thing, if you include them in your diet even if they are taken once a week, it can do the job. Bet it would be a proteinase that strips the mucous barrier off of cells that protect the cancer cells from being detected by the T cells. Some of the natural food chemistries do not harm regular cells if used intermittantly. You have to watch that you do not strip the mucous layer continually in the digestive system though. Muccous protects us, but some natural proteinases are absorbed in the stomach and do not effect the small intestine much.

I am sure they can make this medicine for three hundred bucks a dose and another five hundred bucks to administer it. But they won't get rich that way. They also will not be able to donate lots of money to political campaigns.

Efficacy was evaluated based on cohort (A1) in GARNET Trial (NCT02715284), a multicenter, multicohort, open-label trial in patients with advanced solid tumors.

They missed the big boat with a covid vaccine; they just applied for EAU for their version of a covid mRNA vax last April, which seems odd. Do we still need a covid vaccine? I was under the impression drug companies were having trouble using up the stock they had before the expiration date and were having to destroy millions of doses.

I'm glad they've finally made some progress with cancer treatments. Way too many people get this disease, and hope has been such a long time coming!

Amazing, yes, and apparently has little to no side effects since it is a monoclonal antibody treatment. But at about $20,760 per single dose vial, I'll just stick with a combination of dry fasting (3-11 days max, length depends on the severity of the condition), maybe drinking deuterium depleted water if necessary, to blow up any cancer that may rear its ugly head (as unlikely as that is now that I'm eating the proper human diet). Fasting is free.

Another cure for cancer that will never see the light of day. (not in any large capacity anyway)

There is a vested interest in keeping actual solutions hidden. What do you think happens if they were to find a cure for cancer. Hundreds of billions of dollars anually will disappear overnight. There were cures for a lot of cancers back in the early 1900's that were pushed under the rug by the ama/fda. Not with any sort of scientific proof other than media spin and lawsuits that crippled the inventors.

Guys pharma will never allow to cure, fix or make anybody healthy or free from diseases, that will mean cutting into their insane and obscene profits.

We do have a Pharma mafia in the US.

This is correct. If anyone thinks they'd give up a 100+ billion dollar a year profit scheme - you're insane. It's even higher than that when you consider not just pharmaceuticals but also other treatments, doctor visits, surgeries. All of which are painfully expensive in the US. The FDA authorizes something stupid like 350ish new drugs a year and 75% of them end up being recalled because they're not suitable for human consumption. Vioxx is a prime example of this.

And no one is ever held responsible.

It's a small trial and will take time to verify and expand, but still this is great news. Here's hoping it is a door to more.
