Do we really need to jump on this supposed inclusion band wagon? Or is it just reallly a bunch of virtue signaling? You know, because Burger King cares so much about inclusion……just like politicians do and Hollywood actors.

Asinine.

Its all virtue signaling for the current month it would be over in the next month.

Not going often anymore. In my 20s it was great, 1€ for a chicken nugget burger, after a party night half hungover, can't beat that and fries are good there (BK).

Selfmade is always better but sometimes I get weak. But then I stick to Döner Kebab or similar, where I can also have it my way. That's also why I like BK better, they encourage me to have exactly what I like. McD does it too but BK banks on it. And again their fries are amazing. I've heard the two brands are not that big in the USA and I once checked their US websites.

We have a lot more burgers and stuff in our US-German BK than the US ones have, same for McD. I would have thought it's the other way.

I don't know why I find the differences in how American fast food is presented in other countries interesting. It's a shame that such low representatives of American burger cuisine are what we import.

It seems BK and McD aren't considered even decent fast food here anymore and both while still huge have no doubt lost some business to the smaller up-and-coming franchises.

Does Germany have domestic fast-food burger franchises? a Burger Kaiser?

I wouldn't eat any food, tied some ideology, straight or gay. Burger King don't give a F. They are just virtue signalling.

This VS from the ava bloke with four screws per string. BHam.

As for the Donor Kebab, it's unhealthy looking. Meaning
essentially they invested in the food over cosmetics.
Win, probably. The more hideous the presentation, usually
the better the food. Strange but true for the ME sometimes...

If there is for a consequence a surplus of tops... I propose a
Double Whopper with just tops. Like a Homophobe McFluffy.
You should pull back out of THAT supply glut quicker than ya think.
edit on 9-6-2022 by derfreebie because: Yeah, but Tony didn't NEED them all.

Hm... good question! I don't think so!

We do have casual "Imbissbuden", like little stationary food trucks but none that are ran like BK / McD franchises. And of course other types but nothing like a Burger Kaiser or a "von Pommes" (pommes = fries or chips for UK) lol.

We had a lot of family ran, down to Earth, like 3-4 for a town of 2000, old fashioned restaurants but the lockdowns killed a lot of them. Where the chef cook personally would come to your table and ask you if there was anything wrong. And where you could watch the next batch of steaks growing up through the window, while munching on one. Own slaughtering and such. We had a lot of those places and a lot are gone.

McD and BK and other "drive-in" enabled restaurants were allowed to open throughout the lockdown. Some tried to survive with takeout but the quality suffers. And of course it's not possible like with fast food. One for it not being usual business on the dish/table and second for it getting cold until you arrive at home. A medium onion roast steak is not the same when it has been 10 minutes inside a container driven around for like 10km.

Ah that might be of interest to you:

A lot of brands use the "American style" label or sometimes just the flag on the packaging to imply "hugeness" or any other superlative.

Like, American style white bread will always be bigger slices and bigger toast size than the rest of the brand although being just normal white bread. Sometimes we have "US-weeks" in supermarkets, often during events like super bowl. Then stuff like hot dog and burgers, popcorn and such, again US style, will be advertised more. Helloween being another example. My own daughter picked up on that and although we have our own version "Rubengeister" (we use big sugar beets instead of pumpkin).

Yeah same with Garbage Collector services. Before that was introduced, data would just pile up inside the computer until it was full to the top and had to be thrown away.

Progress, right?

What's the point in national solidarity if you can't cash in on brand recognition and consumer culture?
