Excellent O.
Put me in memory of when I was young. I had borrowed my dads cherry 67 Mustang for a date. My soul was on the line for that. Anyway I was driving
along the inside of a curving neighborhood street with cars parked along the curbs on both sides of the road. It was common to drive right down the
middle of the street.
I caught a glimpse of an old beater pickup from over the tops of the cars parked along the curb to my right coming from the other direction. And
driving straight down the middle of the street. I hugged those parked cars a tightly as I could but knew that it would not be enough and that the
beater would swipe the tail of my dads car. I was doomed. But then, at the last second, as the beater passed me by I felt the Mustang jerk two inches
to the right and the tail and my date were saved.
I never borrowed it again not wanting to tempt fate further.
