Here's his full quote
“A big thank you to everyone who helped me get my unconditional release," he wrote. “What a long strange trip it has been. Now it’s time to rock and roll.”

Not sure how I feel about this? Sure he probably isn't a threat to society, but I believe it takes a special person to go after the President, that is of course if the VP didn't have his CIA buddies psyop Hinckley. They were close to the Hinckley family weren't they?

www.msn.com...

WASHINGTON (AP) — John Hinckley Jr., who shot President Ronald Reagan in 1981, is saying thank you to the people who helped him win freedom from court oversight.

U.S. District Court Judge Paul L. Friedman had freed Hinckley in September from all remaining restrictions but said his order wouldn’t take effect until this month. On Wednesday, the judge held a final hearing in Hinckley's case and said his release from conditions would occur as planned June 15.

Hinckley, 67, sings and plays guitar and hopes to pursue a music career. He was not at the hearing but wrote a brief thank you Wednesday evening on Twitter.

“A big thank you to everyone who helped me get my unconditional release," he wrote. “What a long strange trip it has been. Now it’s time to rock and roll.”

Neil Bush, son of the then vice president of the United States, was scheduled to have dinner on March 31, 1981, with Scott Hinckley, brother of
John Hinckley, the day after a bullet came within an inch of making Neil Bush's father the new president of the United States.

So being a slow morning and a being a CT and all. What exactly are the chances that the Bush Hinckley connection is more than a coincidence?

What if the former head of the CIA did try and have Reagan taken out?

Who knows?

Fun to speculate, so now is the CIA gonna reuse Hinckley if he was indeed part of a CIA psyop.

Would it be inappropriate to ask Jodie Foster's thoughts on his release?

So many questions...

Hinckley has actually been out since 2016. His release was dependent on a number of restrictions and requirements he had to adhere to.

He was prohibited from:

drinking alcohol
possessing any firearms, ammunition, other weapons, or memorabilia of Jodie Foster, e.g. photos, or magazine articles
contacting Reagan's family, Brady's family, Jodie Foster, Foster's family, or Foster's agent
from watching or listening to violent movies, television, or compact discs
from accessing printed or online pornography
online access to violent movies, television, music, novels or magazines
speaking to the press
visiting present or past homes of the current or past president or certain past or present government officials
visiting graves of past presidents or certain past government officials
driving from his mother's home more than 30 mi (48 km) unattended or 50 mi (80 km) when attended
erasing his computer's web browser history

And required to:

to work at least 3 days per week
to leave immediately if he finds himself approaching prohibited places
to record his browser history

In 2018, a judge decided that he was no longer required to live at his mother's and could seek his own residence contingent on doctor approval.

All this new decision does is removes the restrictions and requirements.

LOL seriously paired with the "long strange trip"? it's like no crap dude, you tried to shoot the President to impress Jodie Foster. On top of your brother knows and was about to have dinner with the Bush's son, you know the Vice President. It's a little more than strange Johnny.

I do hope he still has counseling and somebody is monitoring him, except for the CIA

I should hope that these two would stand; there's no reason for someone like him to own a firearm. There is no reason for him to contact any of the other mentioned people as well. Everything else, yeah, that's a bit of a stretch to keep on him after 40+ years.

Technically, Hinckley was found not guilty by reason of insanity and his doctors have since decided he no longer poses a threat to himself or others.

So if he's not a felon and he doesn't meet the criteria for dangerousness, there isn't really any legal reason to prevent him from owning a firearm.
