I don't condone riots. But if someone set fire to their police station. I'd send thoughts and prayers.

For the arsonist well being and god’s speed?

The cops had some playbook they thought they were following and it was way, way wrong, but that doesn't mean the kid wasn't an authentic case to begin with.

People have to understand that not every place has a SWAT team or a team of highly trained people to deal with stuff like this

Uvalde is about 16000 people, everyone knows EVERYONE, they had to wait to callin BORTAC from the border patrol to even get things moving.

That being said, If i was an officer at that school you wouldnt have been able to stop me from going in there and try and put an end to the nightmare

Due to inept law enforcement, each family should get $25 million from the state, like George Floyd's parents got.

When a police officer gets shot you won't see other police waiting around detaining themselves from getting the b'stard.

So what this means is some big deceptions are being played out with this. (Whatever that may mean.)

A lot of things went wrong here. #1 in my book, WHY was there a back door open? WHY!

There should be security systems which are constantly manned by cameras & security/Leo which have views of all entrances or receiving docks!

Shouldn’t 911 have contacted school for immediate lockdown?

My son experienced a lockdown in Queen Creek AZ when he was 8 I believe. A couple of prison escapees trying to get into the school. That school was locked down stat, parents got calls asap. The next 2 weeks was like trying to cross the border driving your kids to school (which was super impressive to me). They did not F around, and if they didn’t like the way your occupants looked, you would be searched.

The kids were hiding under the teachers desk crying.

I’m sorry but 40 minutes enrages me, I’m not an overly emotional person, but this made me cry!

ETA: the root problem of these shootings are the people doing them! Not the guns! The news reports his mother was a drug addict (big surprise). Who knows what kind of abuse he suffered. Also maybe raise the age to buy guns to 21, you can’t smoke til 21, can’t drink til 21, but sure come on down and buy an AR15. We need more prevention services, social programs for kids!

Yeah ... let me give up my guns so you can protect me by standing around while I get chased won by an active shooter.

That plays well.

Excellent point..

I watched a couple of those videos, it's absolutely heartbreaking and very concerning

There are a lot of LEOs, on ATS. I would be interested in hearing their take on the Uvalde cluster fxxx.

Something tells me that this is going to go down
same as the George Floyd killing.
When the police department rep. made his speech to the
media, there were no condolences, empathy to the families
and victims, no sympathies mentioned.
The police rep. went straight into defense mode,
talking about 'having' to wait for a negotiator . . . all
while the shooting in the school was already in progress.

With all the cops there, why WHY did they send in
a boarder-security officer ?
How many of the cops were white Vs representative
of the community ?
These questions need to be addressed!
I've also heard that the dispatched calls have
gone 'missing', and the police are contradicting the
time line and lack of their action.

Why is it, when you hear of a person in a depressed
mental state wanting to commit suicide,
the cops do not hesitate in killing him instead of
sending in negotiators and trained medical staff ?
YET when there is a obvious active shooter, who is
known to police that he shot his grandmother and
is in an elementary school where shots can be heard,
the police erroneously decide to wait for a negotiator ?
wtf ?

State law enforcement officials have given vague and conflicting answers on what exactly happened after the gunman arrived at the school

Obviously there is a coverup going on.

He was shooting outside the school for more than 12 minutes before someone let him in the school, I mean left the door unlocked and after a recent active shooter drill they also left the classroom unlocked even though it was strong enough to hold back swat.

Anything you hear from anyone in government from this point forward is a lie.

Burn it down and start over.

You can be sure each family will be generously paid for their silence. Watch to see if any lawsuits are filed in the wake of this event. If they don't go to trial, that means the fix will be in.
