One thousand musicians dedicating this song to one drummer: Taylor Hawkins.

Rockin'1000 started in Italy in 2015 because Italian marine geologist Fabio Zaffagnini wanted the Foo Fighters to play his town , Fabio thought if he could get 1000 musicians together to cover 'Learn to Fly' he could send the video to the band and hopefully inspire them to come play , which it did and they did.
Such an undertaking garnered interest from the media so I'm sure some will remember it.

Fast forward and Rockin'1000 is still going and this year was held in the National stadium in Paris , thoughts were turned to a lost brother and the Thousand musicians performed "My Hero" in tribute to Taylor Hawkins , because he was.

Yes, I remember the 2015 event!!

I didn't know it was still going on. I'll check out your video later, but I'm sure it was incredible. These kind of events always get me emotionally, lump in throat, togetherness, and wishing for the bygone days to return...
