So I guess the works aren't entirely in yet, but it looks like the Supreme Court has drafted a ruling to overturn Roe vs. Wade.

www.politico.com...

From what I can tell, this will make it the choice of each state whether it wants to allow abortion. I'm not entirely what else it might cause, though?

Basically if you want an abortion, and it isn't legal in your state, you'll need to hop on a plane, and fly to a state where it is legal.

The big question on my mind right now is just: Do you think this will lead to riots? I really don't want to have to deal with any more riots!!!

Old news. It has already caused riots. Most MSM are saying it is banning abortion.

Edit: some threads on the subject.

No. It won’t return us to riots. It will return us to about where we were on this subject in 1970. At least for a little while.

I would tell women who want an abortion and live in Texas, sorry, you can't come to my State and kill your baby even if it's legal here for women in my State. I would charge only women from Texas or other States where they ban it, with murder if they come to my State and get one. I would give anyone $10,000 if they catch anyone from a State that bans abortion having one in my State where it's legal. Have that baby if you live in Texas. That's what Texas and it's citizens want.

If you live in Texas and need an abortion, do it the "old fashioned" way. Where it's not safe. That's what Republicans want.

And Republicans should start wearing a coat hanger pin on their lapels. I hope your proud of the mess you're going to create.

Making America Great by having 50 different abortion laws in 50 different States. How do you think that will work?

It won't. It' didn't before. That's why we have RoeVWade.

The Supreme Court, which I'll now call "The Republican Liar's Den" could have just lowered to 15 weeks, the time to get an abortion. Instead they opened a HUGE can of worms.

And now, you're thinking about endless protests by women and those who are pro-choice? Of course there are going to be protests. What in the world did Republicans think was going to happen once the ruling went down. Women were going to just say fine? LOL!

It gets even better. McConnell states a national ban is "possible", Marsha Blackburn proposes a plan where birth control is only available to married couples, a GOP candidate in AZ proposes banning condoms, and Louisiana and Missouri bills will make IUDs and Plan B illegal.

This is an attack on women from the religious right. With absolutely no plans to support any single women, or victims of rape or incest. No plan to make males accountable from the moment of conception, just the women. And no plans to support the children born into poverty or untenable situations.

And just read ordering plan B in Tennessee will be a crime punishable by a 50,000 fine. Nice.

No, they could not "lower to 15 weeks". That would be making a law. Only Congress can make laws. The Supreme Court can only decide if something is legal or not according to the laws and ultimately the Constitution.

I looked up the Marcia Blackburn plan you mentioned and you have it absolutely wrong. Based on this I find your entire post unreliable without supporting links.

Marcia Blackburn statment

Facts are facts. Stop spreading propaganda.

That's not an option for many women. Especially those on the breadline. Getting an out of state abortion means crossing state lines, staying in that state to for a couple of days to recover, not to mention the cost of the abortion itself which likely won't be covered by your normal health care provider (Indeed, If you even have one). And that's without the cost of missing maybe 2-5 days worth shifts.

For a lot of women that's money that they need for food and rent, not to mention caring for any other children that they might have.

If you're on minimum wage getting an out of state abortion could mean putting yourself in more debt than you can reasonably expect to pay off.

It could also criminalize leaving your state for an abortion, or criminalizing helping someone to leave the state for one.

Some laws have already have laws in draft form that could make it illegal to give someone a ride to an abortion clinic, or to pay their bills for them. A state could make leaving the state to have an abortion just as illegal as having one in state.

FYI, I'm neither pro-life or pro-choice. I'm pro condom.

AZ Mirror

USA Today

And thank you for correcting me. She thinks Griswald is unconstitutional which was contraception rights for married couples. She is against contraception rights overall.

I have to leave now, I'll get the Tennessee, Louisiana and Missouri links when I get back.

Interesting because Plan B only prevents pregnancy, if you are already pregnant then it is basically an expensive tic tac as it will not induce a miscarriage/abortion.

This simply means that it'll be up to the individual states to draft their own laws regarding abortions. Like every issue the left gets worked up about, they don't understand what the implications are and simply react off the MSM talking points. The MSM needs to start be held accountable for their part in the lawlessness. Hopefully starting in Jan 2023 when the republicans take control we will see the idiots on the left being held to account for their actions.

Yeah. This.

Supreme court can't make laws. Only judge the constitutionality of existing laws.

15 weeks would be a great place to draw a new line, but that would mean Congress would need to pass a new Federal law, and then there would need to be some reason why the new law can be considered constitutional while the old law wasn't.

Yeah. It will mean only the rich can get them. And they're the ones that need it the least, since they can certainly afford to care for and educate a baby.

This will mean more poor kids needing welfare assistance.

It's simple, if you're too lazy to use birth control, don't have sex. You won't have to worry about killing a baby to keep a social life. Birth control should be free or at reduced cost for all women.

It's not always that simple.

A lot of women end up with lovers who lie to them. They get scammed. The guy thinks he's ready to be a father, and then when he sees it really happening he chickens out, and now she is stuck being a single mom, and hoping some other guy will later on decide to take over and raise another man's child with her.

(Because you know, every guy secretly wants to do a solid for some deadbeat jackass and raise his kid for him.)

Honorable men are becoming rare. A high percentage of the female population would have to be celibant and die childless in order for society to actually measure up to your ideals.
