There sounds like an air of truth (to Mantiss2021s response befor ethe edit) judging from your own response above.

C'mon PC. Deny Ignorance.

On topic...

Here in France there has been a big push to convert from oil heating to electric heating with large government incentives meaning if you currently have an oil system it will be replaced for ONE EURO for those on low income and a discounted rate for others. No joke!

I personally heat with wood. It's a natural luxury I will enjoy for as long as I can wield an axe.

It heats me once when I cut it down, once when I chop it up, once when I stack it and once when I burn it. It is also great excercise in fresh air.

It grows on trees and is free if I work hard for it other than a bit of petrol and lube for a chainsaw and transporting it home.

Maybe look at your long term options instead of blaming others for your current choices or situation.

Pirates are meant to be tough and smart and able to control their own destiny aren't they?

Adios.

Blame big oil. They set the price.

Supply and demand and the typical oil company price gouging.

yet BEFORE THE PANDEMIC (and even in parts of it to be fair) when TRUMP policies of drilling, removing unnecessary regulations, and building the pipeline GAS , OIL AND FUEL OIL PRICES WERE very low.. gas alone 2.00 range (even lower in some spots).
with the added benefit we were OIL INDEPENDENT for first time in DECADES.
we had OPEC begging and threatening us to lower our production.

given the polices now that REVERSE OR REMOVE all of what trump did the prices went up

while it is well known that the oil companies do try to circumvent supply and demand..
they could not do so under trump

but now its EASY and justified under biden policies.

im sorry but
its all the oil company fault card and been declined.

care to try another sir?

If we simply un-do the insane policies that got us here, we could be back to sub $3 gasoline in a year, and get building materials back down to a reasonable level.
I just saw diesel fuel at the local station pushing $6 - I expect $8 gasoline by fall, and heating oil to be near $10.

Hopefully the mid-terms will at least slow down the insanity come spring.

supply problems. My wife works for a food pantry, she donates her time and energy to help feed people who are really struggling.
supply problems yesterday they received two of the largest pallets of some of the nicest mangoes that came from Mexico.
I haven’t seen such large mangoes of this quality in a long time.
Diesel fuel is over six dollars a gallon here now. The commercial fishing fleet may have to tie up her.
almost $10,000 a day for fuel for the big boats.
The only way they will be able to continue is to drive seafood prices so high that only the elite and is very rich will be able to purchase it if this continues.

It’s crazy! Yes two huge pallets of perfect mangoes managed to make it to a free food pantry in my town. How does any of this makes sense!

If you follow the history of seafood it is sure is interesting how it was poor people’s food, then rich, then poor, then rich.

It's all transitory, remember?

Oh they already said it's not transitory anymore.
I'm trying not to be negative but I think the worse is yet to come.
Husband called me today, he got a salad and drink for lunch and it was $15 bucks...

That's a bit rough, surely he'd call you forever, not just today

It's 4am, lol, sorry about the dumb pun..

"get the ambulance!"
"We haven't got one!"

Every mans circumstance is unique. ATS members are of all shapes and sizes, intelligence and physical ability.

I think the main point is it is never to late to start preparing for difficult times. If you have talked up how you’ve done it and whinge now because your suffering, then perhaps it was through inadequate planning.

In which case it is time to program on the fly.
