Why would state police have a camouflaged police helicopter?

I have been aware of the newish police helicopters in Victoria straya.

We have 3 Augusta 139’s. two are painted in the standard blue and white the special
Operations help was in a dull olive grey over all scheme.

I had just heard a low flying chopper, and went out as it was low overhead. I have binoculars in easy reach used these to see what the craft was.

I was confused, the craft was in an over all dark camouflage, grey and a combination of dark greens of different shades.

Though along its tail boom, in black was “police”

I thought this was odd as the military is not state controlled, and why would a cop helo be in camo scheme? so unsure why this would be.



Do the police in your neck of the woods have camo aircraft?
Any ideas.

The sherriff in my rural desert county has a couple camo choppers for better chasing cartel mules and such, but moving here was the first time I had ever seen a LEO chopper in camo anywhere.

Well with a federal election only a few weeks away, threat of an interest rate rise this coming Tuesday, petrol at 180 cents a litre.

Anyone with integrity would have resigned long ago..
It isn't

It is really just Special Ops Boys with their big boy toys.

Victoria only has 227,000 Sq Km of land so why such large helicopters.

The Police world wide are controlled by the IPA in Switzerland. They are all moving in the same direction and that direction is militarization. We are not a free people.

Ours don't really have choppers at all. There are a few that act as search and rescues, and some with infrared gear, but that's about it. We certainly don't have swat units with choppers.

Given how loud choppers are ... I'd imagine that they simply painted them like that because they thought that it looked cool.
