The idea is that you monitorize recycling to give people an incentive to do it. Which is a solid capitalist conservative idea. The state wants you to do something, so they have to make it worth your while.

A leftist liberal social credit system would be one where you're penalized or punished in some way if you refuse to comply. For example, you have to pay additional fees to have your regular (non-recycled) waste taken away.

Older members here might remember "back in the day" when you could take your glass milk and soda bottles back to the store and you'd get a couple of nickels for them. Kids used to go through trash cans looking for bottles to return to the store to get some additional spending money.

Recycled goods only lost their value when the state mandated that everyone had to recycle and that your taxes would pay for it, that killed the financial incentives to do it.

Thought provoking post but let's be honest, that's exactly the way things are going.

I recycle because I have the means to but some people don't and if the SCS is actually introduced then it's going to ruin lives.

Perhaps my SCS or ESG or whatever the fk they want to call it is lowering as I type because my thought process isn't in line with the liberal world order but to dismiss it is just a mark of naivety.

TPTB openly tell us their plans yet you try to debunk them.

It's rather odd.
