I love looking for hidden messages while reading the Bible. I am currently reading the book of Matthew and just finished the Sermon on the Mount. Its amazing to me how many times the number or reference of 3 is used. Let me give a few examples:

- The Sermon is chapters 5,6, and 7
- Prior to the Sermon Jesus is tempted 3 times
- The prayer starts with Hallowed by Your name, Your kingdom, You will
- The prayers ends with Yours is the kingdom, power, and glory
- 7:7 Ask, seek, and knock
- 7:22 Prophesied, cast, and did wonders
- 7: 25 Rain descended, floods came, winds blew
- Prior to starting the Sermon Jesus taught, preached, and healed 4:23

There are so so many more examples even going back to His birth with three gifts. This may sound simple to some but to me it just shows what an awesome God we serve.

The "Lord's Prayer" as it is referred to is repeated by untold people the world over, and very few ever stop to ask what they are praying for.

(1) Jesus mentioned his Father's name, Jehovah, first in the prayer, as it is the most important:

"Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified."-Matthew 6:9.

So many people have dishonored Jehovah's name. Many do not even know that God has a name. Jesus made Jehovah's name known to his apostles just as he prayed to his God and Father in heaven the night before he was to be put to death:

"“I have made your name manifest to the men whom you gave me out of the world."-John 17:6.

When he prayed "Our Father in heaven," he was including himself. He looked up to Jehovah God as his Father and God:

"Go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God.’"-John 20:17.

The universal issue of Jehovah's sovereignty is of upmost importance!

(2) Next Jesus' mentioned Jehovah's kingdom :

"Let your Kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also on earth."-Matthew 6:10.

Many praying this prayer neither know God's name nor use it, or know what the kingdom is they are praying for. Jehovah's kingdom government is his means of fulfilling his original purpose for humankind when he created us in the garden of Eden, with perfect life, and with the prospect of living eternally in perfection and peace and health without ever growing old.

Jesus is the king of God's kingdom government established in heaven. It will come to earth and clash with the rulers of this earth and bring an end to all human rule and corruption and establish a righteous government of justice and peace that will reign over all the earth from heaven. It will resurrect the dead back to life, get rid of sickness and death, and cause wars to cease. The old will grow young again, and all the sick and lame and deaf and blind will be cured of their infirmities. No one will be sick, and there will be no more wars or crime or violence. The wicked will be destroyed and the meek and righteous will be left over on earth and transform it into a paradise wherein they will live forever.

Pray to God while you study his word, and these wonderful things will be revealed to you, as Jehovah has no doubt revealed to you this day.

This kind of theme is worth looking for, but I would always advise against finding significance in chapter and verse divisions (and numbers), because they are not part of the original text.
Nevertheless, I flagged the thread.

Very good point about chapter numbers! Will consider that.

This may sound simple to some ...

Nah, just a little far-fetched to connect this to the notion that God is 3 persons in 1 God (or that make up 1 God; or vice versa, see quotation below from the New Catholic Encyclopedia), when the Bible teaches that God is one person.

Galatians 3:20 (Amplified Bible, Classis Edition):

Now a go-between (intermediary) has to do with and implies more than one party [there can be no mediator with just one person]. Yet God is [only] one Person.

NW:

Now there is no mediator when just one person is involved, but God is only one.

Toward the end of his life, Jesus said: “I am leaving the world and am going my way to the Father.” (John 16:28) After his death in the flesh and resurrection as a spirit, Christ ascended “into heaven itself, now to appear before the person of God.”—Hebrews 9:24. Not “persons of God.”

The New Catholic Encyclopedia states: “The formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. But it is precisely this formulation that has first claim to the title the Trinitarian dogma. Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective.”—(1967), Vol. XIV, p. 299.

In The Encyclopedia Americana we read: “Christianity derived from Judaism and Judaism was strictly Unitarian [believing that God is one person]. The road which led from Jerusalem to Nicea was scarcely a straight one. Fourth century Trinitarianism did not reflect accurately early Christian teaching regarding the nature of God; it was, on the contrary, a deviation from this teaching.”—(1956), Vol. XXVII, p. 294L.

Your comment already reminded me a bit* of the approach numerologists take to Scripture, even though it's different (*: with the remark about "hidden messages" even more):

HIDDEN MESSAGES IN THE BIBLE?

In his book The Bible Code, journalist Michael Drosnin claims to have discovered hidden messages by means of computer analysis of the Hebrew Scriptures. ...

And then to think that the Catholic Church has been instrumental in introducing and promoting “Trinitarian dogma” (in the past by means of the threat of a death penalty by burning, one of the most painful ways to die, for anyone denying the Trinity, and by means of warfare and political scheming, long story), and continue to teach it. While they make such an admission in their own encyclopedia. I guess that's the fineprint none of the laity reads...

What the bible points to is hidden......

It's hiding in plain sight.....in the actual seeing.

It's never not here yet it cannot be objectified......

Matt 5-7 are instructions on how people will have to live in the Millennial Kingdom. Back then Jesus was preparing Israel.

Now anyone can come to the God of the Bible and be saved by his grace alone through faith on Christ Jesus.
