texas national guardsman missing.

k, it's been news for about 3 days now and only ABC has given it 20 secs of mention.

the rest gave zero besides fox.

the guardsman jumped into the rio and went to help 2 border jumpers in trouble.

they got out but he is presumed drowned. body not yet found.

the jumpers turned out to be drug smugglers! and arrested.

the guard found his body armor and talkie on the river bank.

my problem is this, how can you save 2 people from drowning and drown yourself? ?

why didn' they try to help him?


my thoughts,

he was murdered, by them. stabbed probably.

the dude was black too. so why no coverage?

border jumping drug smugglers are more protected now than blacks?

another thing, why was he alone? no life line?

not much info tho.

i hope someone else has more info.

I lost a good friend , a long time ago , that saved 2 more friends from drowning .
He did not make it either .

Can be a dangerous job saving someone who is drowning. If they are panicking, will try and climb up on you, it can help save them, but you can end up dying from losing control of the situation.

Jumping in with all your gear on will make it a lot tougher and sluggish.

How some of his gear was recovered, sounds like the boarder jumpers used the guardsman as a raft till them made it to shore, then pushed the guard back out again.

Same thing happened here, man jumps in to save kids and is too tired from the rescue to climb to safety and was swept away.
