I like the fact that Russia say the Moskva was not hit by Ukrainian anti-ship missiles, but just randomly blew up anyway. She was a big ship with ferocious anti-air defence, which seems to have failed. Another part of the much feared Russian military that turned out to be a chocolate teapot.

I have a close affinity to the navy, so my thoughts go out to the Russian sailors who have been sacrificed for an insane cause.

EDIT to add that reports that only c. 50 of the 500 crew were rescued. High loss of life if true.

Stop making stuff up, they report killing someone with an American passport, lots of people have American passports, and some of them volunteered to help defend Ukraine from russia's brutal nazi invasion.

I didn't make it up, that's from the Chechen Special Forces, you got a bone to pick then why not travel to the Donbas and have it out with them, love to see it

Tragic loss of life indeed if they only managed to rescue 50 out of 500!

She was being towed, with fires apparently under control, i would have thought they would have evacuated most of the personal.

The bad weather may have been a contributing factor i suppose.
