Ok so.. well, I stumbled upon this gem because I was listening to the 'Man With No Name' remix of C.M.'s legendary dance track, 'MWNN' gave it his
traditional style feeling, which I am a huge fan off, so it really made the track tons better for me, and I thought, yeah, dis fire, it aint gonna get
much better than that...
Now you have to realize, me and 'luck', we have a very, umm... Ironic relation. So when I first saw this version appear by the algorithm, am like,
yeah right youtube, not today...
Also being a type of person by nature who does not have a real intrinsic motivation to search for new songs and crawl through the mud of it all, a
miracle did actually happen.
Somehow I did play that tune, but probably because I was already intrigued by the original, absolutely loved the MWNN remix.. so yeah, I thought,
let's see what this fella cooks out of it.
And I can tell you, it's not just soup and beans, it's a full high-end restaurant dinner.
Anyway, don't be merely entertained by my creative storytelling, it's time to spread your wings and fly, or atleast try and fall to the ground. They
will still value you you more than a bird that did not even try to fly...
Get going troops!

If you are an instant gratification kind of person, full blast off initiated @ 5.30. Just in case you would like to know what you're waiting for.. =)
Enjoy!
Yeah, I like nearly like all MWNN stuff, he has this trademark style which always plows through in every track, it's a more simple and structured
style, with a good kick that really pounds in a certain way... Very much unlike the over-produced 'goatrance' with the overload on arpeggios which go
so fast you can't even really appreciate the composure of the melodies, that is why my most favourite style is actually slow oldskool goa trance (I
used to call it slowskool, still ignorant of all the diff styles back then) - Melodic Downtempo Goa. - Also, anything that goes higher than 140 bpm
really loses a lot of its power, energy, drive, ancient primal rhythmic beat (the kick carries a lot more weight at a slower 'vibration', coupled
with extended time to really take in the actual genius that sprouted these melodies and such blissfull experiences, which I personally miss with a lot
of higher paced tracks, but yeah, I make my own electronic music too, so I have a program that I use to just slow down some fast paced tracks if I
actually like them, but I'm just missing that raw, mystic power/energy of downtempo vibration... Can't really explain it, if you feel this too, then
you will understand perfectly, but otherwise there is no real way of explaining why this, and only this specific factor makes sooo much
difference...
This would be one of much adored example - Azriel - Akana Still Dreaming:
Or a more emotional one... Asura - Chanson de Carla -> YouTooth
And when I began discovering which music really did the trick for me and I really got into downtempo and such; I also learned that a lot of regular or
alternative music which I always really liked, but never actually understood, well, the main common attribute is that it are all very slow songs.
Anway, they are all in itself not really my style, but because its so slow I really vibe with it.
Oh well, enough yappin', let me leave just one more gem....
This would be a good example of actual 'slowskool' I think, some authentic goa trance vibe, but at a slower pace and those atmospheres.. Red Gravity
-Modern Society.
I know exactly what you mean.
Did a lot of DJing throughout the 90s and watched how music progressed through early forms of house and techno to what we have now.
Trance back then always had an original feel and a kind of "soul" which I feel is lacking in most of the formulaic club style stuff now.
Labels like Eye-Q, Harthouse, Low Spirit. Fax, Rising High and Platipus were golden.
I liked a lot of hardcore stuff, too, but more a techno style. We mostly called it "headstrong" because it reached a point where hardcore got
associated with fast. Some of the earliest gabber was quite inspired but it got to be a speed contest and lost something in the artistry.
I don't do much in the way of music these days but always looking through bargain crates of old vinyl looking for things from back in the day for the
collection.
You've probably heard it but just in case you haven't. ....check out the full length version of Cygnus-X Superstring Rank 1 deep dub mix. I think it's
actually an improvement on a classic anthem.
cheers

Well, not long ago I released my first album, it wasn't exactly planned, but some semi-profesional label let me know a few times that he wouldn't mind
releasing some of my stuff...
I was like okay, let's release, didn't exactly expect it to get some real attention, perhaps like 3-4 people, half of them were somewhat forced by me
to go there and sh*t...
And then this relatively large downtempo youtube channel with about 100k subs upload my album mixed..
So yeah, that was already much more than I even expected....
Most people consider this specific style unique to my project...
I'm somewhere at 'Melodic Downtempo Trance inspired by Goa' So, it stays relatively easy to digest for most people, considering it's usually less
intense than actual goatrance, or less.. umm.. sophisticated or complex in structure and patterns as actual real 'Downtempo Goa'.
So yeah, people who like goa music will recognize that vibe and be able to appreciate it..
Other more regular downtempo trance lovers will find it somewhat 'special' but still within their preffered comfort zone...
