I have just seen a sickening Bitchute video of Russian prisoners, some badly injured and some just getting shot as they exited a van. It was real and quite depressing. Another was showing a dead Australian who had been shot in the back of the head by the Azov battalion, as wounded foreign volunteers will not be allowed home as they have information that cant be shared. The Ukrainians are not playing by the rules of war, this is going to escalate.

If real I agree completely, and even if these examples aren't real, there have been many indications of Ukrainians going too far since day 1.

My now deceased sourcey friend reported witnessing a take no prisoners attitude among Ukrainians in Kharkiv early on, and I spoke out about it repeatedly.

That in no way excuses the invasion of Ukraine or the MANY well documented cases of russians committing large scale war crimes.

Yes, the rules are there for everyone's protection. If you surrender you are a prisoner of war in accordance with the Geneva convention. Ukraine is going down a road that will have no exit. They have just murdered someone's brother or son. That someone won't like it and will take revenge.

At some point, all is fair. I dunno if fair is the right word, but if I'm protecting my home/life/family, I'm going all in. it does not surprise me I guess. Don't invade maybe.

Then why is Europe refusing to do it? If what you say were true Europe wouldn’t care, but instead Europe would rather lose 40% of their energy supply and go into a recession than agree to it.

Are you mental? T-14 Armata features an advanced dual-layer reactive armor package called Malachit. They have been Javelin tested and survived. Which also has the Shtora electro-optical jamming suite.
You definitely are watching too much news. Talk to Ukrainians that live there. They all say the same thing Russians are kicking their Asses. And aren’t retreating anywhere and have their cities surrounded. Which means no supplies get in so they will bomb them and starve them into surrendering.

I don't speak for 'Europe', but pretty sure 'they' would refuse just about anything putin 'demanded' right now about anything.

The madman invaded Ukraine.

As the market goes up it has to retrace because of short selling and profit taking.

It doesn't 'have to do' anything, it reacts to how investors are speculating. If gold was such a great hedge it would still being going up and not plateauing.

They were never Javelin tested until a couple weeks ago, they were tested against what russia considered to be a Javelin proxy.

They were just guessing, and guessed wrong.

Ukraine has photographic evidence of one being destroyed, I think it was the MLRS variant.

It's included in the link to confirmed russian vehicles destroyed about a hundred pages back on the update thread.

Besides, 80 T14s aren't all that threatening even without the Javelins.

Only the russians are fighting a tank war.

You have no idea what you are talking about. The price of gold is pretty well determined by US. The major impact on the price of gold is the opportunity cost of holding the US dollar. They hold the price of gold down very easily; all they do is to cause the opportunity cost in terms of interest rates and US Treasury bills to make it unprofitable to own gold.
Which is why they are raising the interest rates every time the Federal reserve meets because if they don’t gold won’t stop rising. And guess when their last meeting was? Right around the time as you pointed out gold was over 2000.00.

It's driven by supply and demand, just like every single other commodity. If you don't have a grasp of basic economics how can anyone even remotely take you seriously.

I know what I’m talking about you don’t. You have the understanding of a child. Gold is a threat to the dollar or so the Fed believes. If gold keeps going higher then the world's confidence in the con-trick of paper money backed by government promises alone might just collapse. That was the threat in the late 1970s, which is why Reflationary Rescue was started.
The Federal Reserve even admitted to it.
Paul Volcker – chairman of the US Federal Reserve at gold's all-time top – said in his memoirs that "letting gold triple in value was a mistake.”

Actually you don't if you're challenged by such simple things as supply and demand.

I'm afraid that train already left a while ago. Russians bomb civilians, Ukrainians shoot Russian artilleryman in the knee, and so on and so forth. Booby trapped corpses too. And it will end when either Russia feels attacking is no longer worth the cost, or Ukraine gets too worn out to resist.

Sorry if I'm butting in again, but first of all Europe is waiting to see if Gazprom will actually demand rubles or if it was just Putin talking smack. If he's actually willing to cut off gas then maybe they will agree. But kind of calling the bluff first.

Putin has already made the order. If anyone wants Russian oil and gas then he sets the terms.
In addition, energy giant Gazprom was ordered to start working on needed amendments to current contracts.
Europe is already making emergency plans in case their supply is cut off.
