A friend of mine sent this email to me and I can not say I disagree with much of anything.

As I asked a 'friend' today in the clubhouse after golf, and before I read this article, why are we involved in any way in the war in Ukraine?

My take for what it's worth: We have more foreign invaders who have come across our southern border than Russian troops now in Ukraine. (Did NATO offer to help with this invasion?) We have democrat run cities that now look not so dissimilar to the bombed out cities in Ukraine. We have a country that has a national debt in excess of $30 TRILLION DOLLARS and not a single solitary politician with the guts to say it's time to stop.

And lastly, how has any war since the Korean war improved the life of one single American?
Over 50,000 dead in Korea without there ever being a signed peace agreement.
Nearly 60,000 dead in Vietnam and 8000+ on the so-called war on terror where we tucked tail and ran out like a whooped pup. The only winner in all these incursions is the Military Industrial Complex. Maybe my view is slightly slanted from two Vietnam tours, reading the Pentagon Papers and the Report on the Afghan war. The now more than $15Billion we've committed to Ukraine will only enrich our elitist overlords, their lobbyists and put us on a possible fast track to nukes landing in our backyard. I feel really bad for the folks in Ukraine, but not enough to risk America's blood or treasure.
Read this and give it a thought.

He must be a Putin sympathizer.
Actually, he sounds like he knows the real deal, but officially, "the machine" has an opinion, and if he's not willing to kill commies, he's with them.

First off I thought your title said " Some well seasoned thoughts "

but just to give my opinion , I agree and I don't buy what appears to be going on in Ukraine for a single second .

Russia could level that Country and it's infrastructure inside of a week , I have no idea what is actually happening over there because I'm not there in Kiev watching with my own eyes .

But the story the MSM is selling stinks to high heavens .

It’s almost as if it’s by design.

No, but really. America is in the process of being conquered by an international network of elitists who believe the way of the future is automation + globalism. They don’t care about you.

The days of the “nation-state” are over (in their minds). They see the seemingly limitless atrocities that have been committed throughout history, almost all of which have come at the hands of warring government bodies.

They think: “This cannot continue into the future. We must work towards non-autonomous regions which answer to a sole, global authority.”

I genuinely think that these people believe they’re doing what’s best for humanity.

Newspeak version: they’re smarter than us, so we should relinquish any form of autonomy for “the greater good.”

It’s the reason they hated Trump. He was a populist that made Americans a tad bit uppity; that doesn’t synchronize with the “better” model they are currently implementing.

The future will be filled with people who are out of jobs due to automation. Where will these mouth-breathers go? Well, nowhere, of course. They will stay in their ‘cozy’ cubicle apartments, doled out by the central authority, of which the dimensions of said structures will be rationed to help reduce the individual’s climate footprint.

Travel will be discouraged as it’s detrimental to the climate. If you need to travel, you can contact your local vehicle fleet, owned and operated by a nationalized company. They will send out a self-driving, electric vehicle to mitigate any travel necessities.

As stated, though, travel will be de-incentivized. So what do jobless, purposeless people do with all of their free time and apportioned monthly Amazon credits? Well, they reside in the metaverse of their choice, of course! Plug into your pod, and exist in non-reality. Daddy government will take care of the rest.

Welcome to the new, bastardized mixture of neo-feudalism and neo-fascism. You will own nothing, and you will be happy.

Yes, I realize that’s a tangent, and I digress. But maybe that will create a jump-off for your own critiques and thoughts.

Eggs need to be cracked. America is one of, if not the biggest egg.

That’s why the hypocrisy is so rampant.

I will just point out that most of the world though the same about the entire Middle East v. the Jews in tiny little Israel right after it was established. It was exactly what was supposed to happen, but it didn't.

Generally speaking, the superior force is the one that will win all things being equal, but there is still a reason why we line up and fight the fight or play the game. Sometimes, things happen and other factors come into play that no one sees at the outset, intangibles. Sometimes, those things tip the balance one way or the other.

your not wrong , the Six Day War was a hell of a thing .

But Israel at the time was a Nuclear power with a Top of the line Air force , Top of the line Armor and Tanks and Top of the line small arms in the form of Galil Assault Rifles and Uzi's .

While they are a small country with a small population but the entire population is Military trained and armed , but even still with all of that , fighting off three nations at once was unbelievable .

Ukraine is not so well armed in fact they were desperately handing out Ak's to there citizenry when the War kicked off and even with a proper insurgency I don't see them doing that well against Russia .

Most of Russia's forces don't want to be there.

So you have a determined resistance fighting for their homes v. a large force that ought to be superior, but they don't want to be there.

In terms of sports (which this isn't), that is what upsets are made out of.
