Damn...

Sometimes the algorithm on YouTube produces a pearl.

I present to you... Sister Rosetta Tharpe!

Yes, I'm an atheist.

No, it doesn't matter. I want a time machine.

Later renamed the Gibson SG after Les Paul didn’t like it.

And how about that voice, that stage presence.

When she picked up the guitar holy crap I got the chills.

I read some where he didn't like the thinner body or the horns, but hard to say how correct that is.

I always enjoy the reaction when older rockers discover the sister.

I call her the godmother instead of the grandmother though.

Another lady you should check out is Mary Ford. She was probably as good as Les Paul himself.

Great find! Thanks for posting! The venue is curious right? Looks like a train station platform. Wonder where and when that was filmed?

Had to look it up. I was close on the year, but I didn't know where.

1964 at the Chorlton railway station in Manchester, England.

She's hawt.

Many of the greats copied her lead riffs too.

Love her 3 Humbucker SG.

Did you know,? That if you were to place two aluminum tin cans on the ground such as an empty coke can and while holding onto something such as a friend you can proceed to stand on the cans and they will endure the entire weight. But, now that's a big but, but, if you then just simply give a can or either can a finger flick like flicking a ciggerette the can wil collapse in upon itself being crushed to the ground as some might expect otherwise but no, it is possible.
Try it if you like it's a beautiful thing.
