China won't start anything over Taiwan till the Special Olympics are over

Much has been said about Taiwan being invaded by the Chinese . But NO ONE has said anything about the Special Olympics being held in China.

China will wait for any advance actions toward Taiwan. From a military point of view they don't understand Biden's real position on Taiwan. So it could be very challenging for China to do anything under Biden's Administration.

You see many players are involved now in the China Sea due to shipping routes. Also you have understand China has few countries here using Chinese money for trade. Sadly Americans are not aware of this.

Also Japan said it will help defend Taiwan. Japan is very every experience in mountain training.

Nothing is going to happen anytime soon about Taiwan.

Also Japan said today they will start economic sanctions against Russia. What they are, don't know yet.

I was really misinformed on this one.

If the US wants to defend Taiwan the simplest action would be to send two missile subs there. Once there raise the Taiwanese flag over them and put them on display for a couple of days. Then send one out.

The implied message being the US has gifted the subs to the Taiwan government. Along with the missiles. Attack Taiwan and you lose a number of cities. Your move China.

The Paralympics Winter games start in just over a week in Beijing.

That isn't the special Olympics though, which will be held in Germany.

Yes, past and present.

I have read the China and Russia are both backing the party that overthrew the Myanmar government in Feb 2021. Air strikes are still ongoing. Maybe that military activity is keeping China occupied for now.
