Yep in a close up you can see the grooves are fairly poorly made so no 'high tech' or a sloppy rushed use of simple tools.

I had hoped to visit Peru last year (a trip I had planned for years) Covid still preventing that but did add that place to the list to visit so the video was worth that.......

Human sacrifice was real in some cultures. The Aztec were all about that, but they weren't the only ones.

The grooves look to me like a channel for the sacrifice victims blood to flow down.

Quite an impressive image for the spectators to see, if you cut the victim in the right place to get enough of it out of them.
