Regardless its good news

Bang the war drums watch the stock market plummet now when the obvious happens stock market rebounds produce higher returns on stock purchased during the crisis. Nah TPTB wouldn't do that, would they?

www.nytimes.com...

Stocks rebound after Russia says it will withdraw some troops from Ukraine’s border.
The military standoff, which had dragged Wall Street lower in recent days, showed signs of de-escalating, easing concerns over disruptions of global energy supplies.

There is so much conflicting information it’s hard to know who to believe.

I read that Russia says they weren’t “approaching” but NATO was.

Years ago I wouldn’t have believed that, but now who knows. Maybe tptb want disruption and disinformation.

Epic troll + stupid Biden = fake war.
They were never going to invade.
It was just a distraction.
I mean when you have head of state of said 'invaded country' saying 'shut the eff up everything is fine and you are blowing it out of proportion' well then......yeah.

Following on from my previous suggestion, I've just remembered something which may be relevant.

In the summer of 1968, when there was tension between Czechoslovakia and Russia because of the "Prague Spring", there was a Warsaw Pact exercise which involved army movements through Czechoslovakia. When the exercise was over, Russian troops stayed on in the country for several weeks. Everybody was getting nervous that they would not go away. When they finally left, big sigh of relief. Crisis over.

Then at the end of August they came back in force. The Prague Spring was over.
I doubt if the Russian leadership has forgotten how to play the psychology of their opponents.

As expected, FOX NEWS is holding on to hope that the invasion they promised (at least 50 deadlines passed for them!) will still occur.

Thank you.

But the Facebook link (in my post) is the quote from the MFA spokesperson.

I knew that you posted this quote, but I just wanted to provide a link to the original.

As of 2 hours ago, the Biden White House was performing "table top" wargame exercises in prep for Russia's invasion.

www.nbcnews.com...

Is that more fun than the modern video-game wars?

IMO this whole charade was implemented to disrupt global stock markets, manipulate the price of oil and natural gas, and to sell a bunch of weapons. Mission accomplished?

The biggest real estate and oil baron on planet Earth got exactly what he wanted

Zelensky's got the message about staying neutral while oil prices have gone through the roof

Putin have learned something from the USA and Saudi's back in the 80's and now it's rolls reversals........... maybe?

Putin has been "putin" us all on by the looks of things.

It's all about political points, who going to challenge him next time he decides to chuck his toys out the pram?

Because whoever it is, there apt think twice.

It's sheer genius really from a diabolical draconian standpoint.

Perhaps Russia is graciously defusing the situation to avoid anyone prematurely engaging because itchy trigger fingers. Smart move.

Biden said that the 'invasion' was going to occur tomorrow. He said that our intelligence community provided him with the information.

His administration also said that the Russians were going to stage a false flag to get the invasion started... they already had a 'film in the can' according, again, to our intelligence community.

Now the Russians have pulled their troops back.

This exercise that the Russians just did... was the goal to show that they can fool our intelligence agencies, make Biden look like a weak old fool or what?

It was all theater from the get go. But the good news, is Nato and Biden won, Russia backed down !! See all those threats of sanctions and stern talk made Russia see the error in their plans and we have Joe Biden to thank for saving Ukraine, doncha know???

I expect that to be paraphrased over the next week on those pathetic media outlets and boring daytime talk shows trying to be taken seriously. You may even hear idiots in person be like "heck yea see what Biden did??? He got Russia to back down!"

I'm saving up a good chortle just for the moment when I hear that, and I know my neighbor is going to be one of them and jump through hoops with explanations as to why that is the truth. Why do zombies have to be so predictable??

Putin is trying to inform the world that the Media and especially Biden's administration are delusional and love to spread misinformation.. He has said many times he does not plan on invading the Ukraine, this is just a military exercise to show power to persuade countries to back off with what they are doing., the USA does the same thing quite often.

Most of us here on this site already know this...but maybe now the rest of the world will wake up from the propaganda used against a countries own citizens.

The only way a war would start is if the Ukraine or the UN shot at Russia on their own soil. And remember, if asked by the people in a section of the Ukraine to get help to get away from corrupt leaders running it now, Russia may intervene on a limited scale.

Not to mention that the Fat Lady hasn't sung yet. That won't happen until ALL of the troops massed near Ukraine's borders return to barracks.

Cheers

Or until media decides to show uncropped photos, so those troop formations are seen along with the base structures that have been there since 2016..................

Tell me again; where is it the US have bases in the middle east and Europe?
Near any borders?

Having standards is good.
Double standards are twice as good.

I still find this image funny:

That is a difficult to resolve "problem" for anyone looking at the situation without the benefit of solid intel.

Troop estimates have varied and those of us not in the military or spy agencies have no firm idea of where they are and what their movements are. Media says "X"; we can choose to accept it or not.

But there are some factors not subject to debate. For example;

- keeping troops in the field on that scale is hugely expensive compared to having them in their barracks. At some break-even point, the Russians have to either pull back or invade Ukraine.

- Rasputitsa is coming, and the weather in Ukraine now is largely above freezing during the daylight hours, with rain forecasted for at least the next few days. If a sudden strike doesn't topple the Ukrainian government, then it is warfare in the mud, which is problematic for an attacker.

But as far as numbers of troops, where they're at, and what they intend to do ... yeah, good luck with that.

ETA. Not sure what you're on about regarding "double standards". I don't care if the Russians have bases near their borders; in fact, I expect them to. But having troops IN THEIR BASES vice BEING DEPLOYED in the field are two different things. And as I mentioned above, it is hard to know where they are without the benefit of hard intel.

Cheers
