The lines have never been more clear of who is cheering on government authoritarianism, and who is fighting it.

A true capitalist would want all the restrictions lifted so the economy could go back to full throttle and we could recover from this economic disaster as soon as possible. They wouldn't want to run a business where they can only hire vaccinated people or they have to turn away paying customers because they aren't vaccinated. Not to mention the extra cost of hiring security to make sure the rules are enforced.

If the global economy collapses we could have a true disaster with millions of people homeless and starving, so it's not even about capitalism or socialism, it's about common sense and compassion. Sadly, it's likely to end very poorly for the Canadian protesters because Trudeau is about as smug and stubborn as they come. He'll never submit and allow the protesters to change his agenda, he can't show weakness or give them any legitimacy.
