It is always a scrape in the process of construction. I have never been super careful with myself. When I was younger, I thought I was the Lazarus Man, who could heal quickly from anything. That is still true, but only from the knees up.

I'm mellowing out too as age makes me wiser. But I told my wife the other day that I want to leave this Earth doing something heroic...not hooked up to drips in a hospital bed, or in hospice, like my Dad and Mom did. I just have to determine when the time will be right for that.

Hopefully the doctor will say, "Care, you've got 3 months to live, go out there and do something really special for mankind!"

That is an amazing thought. Wow. Now it seem incumbent upon us to ponder and envision such a heroic ending. That really pumps my writing muse. Do we have Elon Musk's contact info? "Hey, Elon, want to shoot somebody into the Kuiper Belt and study them?"

Worked in an ICU for 6 years. Myself and several nurse friends who were in no hurry to get vaccinated all started taking asprin on our own. Covid causes clots.... the vaccine causes clots. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
