i have been saying this for years. Democrat leaders are actual socialist/communist/fascist dictators.

The democrat governor of WA, Jay Inslee, wants/is criminalizing free speech that "questions the elections." This is 100% censorship meanwhile these are the same democrat/anti-Trump aholes that for years used nothing but made up lies about President Trump and used those lies to impeach him twice.

The crux of this issue is the newly trendy term "misinformation".

In the past, you would say "lie", "propaganda", etc. "Misinformation" is Orwellian doublespeak meant to make you hear that word, but think "lie". They are not synonymous. Misinformation is more "information that is counter to what is official". The definition has changed in recent years, due to the way Hillary chose to use it and the subsequent COVID fiasco. In the past you would see the term "misiniformation" used in relation to intelligence matters primarily.

The problem here is that the federal government has zero role, in fact they are forbidden from having any role, in how information is shared between people.

The one thing you can take solace in is knowing that 2022 will bring a considerable change in our government.

Doesn't matter who is in power, now or the future.

This will still stand or are people stupid enough to believe that the Republicans won't use this to their advantage should they regain power.

You are missing that this is all culture war stuff.

Look at what Mao did. Then look at what we have going on here. Everything from labeling people things to denote that they are undesirable to undertaking insane practices that only have lip service to make them not look terrible.

The main issue is that the US Government can't official sanction some things. But Biden has been doing things he knows is illegal and will not stand in court. The goal: to create generational drift in culture to alter what is acceptable.

That misses the point. The whole point is for rank-and-file, including Democrats and Republicans, all such powers and tools can and will be used against them.

Supporting censorship, deplatforming, and demonizing dissent and free speech, not to mention surveillance such as the Patriot Act and Prism, are dangerous double edged swords that can and will be turned against current supporters.

I said this about the Patriot Act, and the left used to talk about the out of control FBI and CIA, and now many conservatives are seeing it and having those agencies turned on them.

Similarly, all the "liberals" applauding these Orwellian moves to squash free speech may have it turned on them one day. Already, some social media has targeted some real left and anti war groups. Many people don't know that.
