Agreed, grappling and ground fight is important in street fights, where self defense mostly happens. Threat assessment is important too. IDK what the
guy in the thumbnail is expecting. He seems to take a sturdy stance against someone looking very dynamic. A good self defense is based on reading the
opponent also.
He will stand no chance I feel if he isn't super fast also there is a car lane behind him, what about that. Complete open in the front, he catches a
punch to the center before he can even flinch his arms for a block. Looks so faked.
Disagreement from my side about only needing grappling techniques and those ominous 3 strikes. The belaughed nerve points got me out of a headlock
(with his hands in my neck) and bought me enough time to hook him on my back and roll him off to the side.
Nothing of it was like I trained for, mostly because I let off control of the situation when I underestimated and wasn't ready to go all in, lost me
the upper hand.
Underestimated the readyness for violence, not the fighting power.
