I wonder if this is a scare tactic, the truckers seem resolute, but Ottawans sound decidedly against it. I would imagine that is all it will take for them to sooner or later try and slap it down like well err Xi Ping would,

Police in Ottawa warned they may have to call in the military to disband “unlawful” protests in the nation’s capital and a town near the US border, amid mounting tensions between protesters opposing Covid restrictions and local residents.

The Ottawa police chief, Peter Sloly, warned on Wednesday that the officers did not have the resources to remove a fleet of trucks parked by the protesters in the national capital, adding the city was considering requesting help from Canadian armed forces.

I think so too. Mentioned this elsewhere the longer this goes on the more chances the government will cave or screw up.

That said looking here it would seem the libs got a significant advantage over the conservatives

I mentioned it's perhaps a scare tactic, or as Ive seen mentioned elsewhere it's also a classic tactic to float an idea and gauge the response to see the potential political fallout.

I could easily see the Chief talking with JT and JT telling him to say what he did, cause mostly it contradicts what the chief just said yesterday.

Or perhaps it was the mayor and he said if you act like this is cool, they will stay here forever.

Thats illegal they can't call in the Military for that. Its just hot air, no one wants to see this escalate, They had no troubles a while back when ecoterrorists blocked the main railroad line across Canada.

So if the trucks moved like the empire penguins on a ice ledge, continuously in a spiral from the center to the outside and back to the center.

What would the violation be?
