The stadium, filled to the brim with red wearing Chief fans, hooting and hollering. Chanting their Indian War Chant.
The throngs throughout the game, actively participating as the ''extra'' team in the stadium. A constant cacophony of loud noise

Halftime, as expected their home team up 21 to 3. Oh the joy.

Second half the other Cincinnati team comes on the field.

The clock ticks to 00.00 with the score tied 24 - 24

Overtime and KC gets the flip.

Opps, interception. The crowd steps in with louder cheering.

Cincinnati marches for the winning FG.....

Now the poor fans. How long to stand in line to get to the restrooms? How long to get out to the cars and buses? How long to even get out of the parking lots? Oh the depression

To paraphrase Casey at the Bat. There is no joy in KC, mighty Patrick has struck out.

Good to see the Bengals going to Super Bowl. Nice to have different teams participating.

All NFL games are rigged.

Most professional sports games are rigged.

How? If I might ask?
The NFL team in my area, the Detroit Lions haven’t won anything in as long as I can remember.
You would think if the games were rigged, they would have won a few games over the years.

How exactly are home teams supposed to act? All silent? It is a long tradition in football to be loud and raucous, and it's not just KC fans, but yes, the tradition here is that we have the loudest stadium as measured.

The last time my Bengal's were in the Super Bowl I was in college. So happy for the city and the team. I didn't think they would be able to beat the Chief's and Mahomes twice in the same season, but they did it...Joe Burrow for President!

A bunch of dudes chasing a ball around and then showering together afterwards, this is a distraction from what is really important in life. And hash tag its not your entertainment, fuGGin sheep.

Spoken like someone who has never been an athlete.

**EDIT**

I also thought about it, and I consider that there are those times when we need to be distracted from the things that are "really important in life". Life and its cares can be crushing, and there is nothing wrong at all with setting those burdens aside for a short time to enjoy something else - an entertainment. I freely acknowledge that sports are not to everyone's taste, but just because they are not to yours is no reason to slag people who do enjoy them.

I happen to enjoy the physical activity of sports. I still compete to this day, and I like the challenge, both physical and mental because, believe it or not, sports are not simply mindless for all that the idea of the dumb jock is a popular one.

NO KET. I was not finding any fault there AT ALL......

Just commenting on how all those thousands and thousands of tens of thousands of people would be so depressed on their long trip to the bathroom, their long trip out to their cars and their long trip out of the parking lot before they could even hit the road. Jubilee to waiting in lines for an hour or so.

I used to be a fan of my home team. If the team won, the next two days would be happy back slapping, did you see the play days of joyful fellowship, made the week shorter. But if they lost, man, those next two days would be the doldrums, moody grumpy leave me the qep9ijlkd alone days and Friday was ages away.

The last time the Bengals were in the super bowl, one of my home teams beat them in a game winning drive at the end of the game. I was really happy to see the Bengals beat KC. I love it when the underdog wins.

Burrow pulled a Mahomes that second half. For what little my predictions matter, I don't think LA stands a chance against them. Burrow for President? I'll take it...

Well put Ket. I used to share that posters opinion. I was never an athlete myself, having several physical shortcomings. For a while I held to that elitist position that pro sports were merely a distraction from important stuff, pushed on the unthinking to keep us distracted. And maybe so, to a degree. But as you say, if we know it is a distraction, a bread and circus, well so be it. What we see on those fields and courts is some of the highest expressions of the human capacity.

Football represents what is Best in life. "To crush your enemies, see them driven before you and to hear the lamentation of their women."

The Chiefs didn't play their game and Mahomes wasn't very good so they lost. Play like that and you deserve to lose.

Yes. In Europe. Equally as rigged there as well.

I should have clarified in my initial reply.

All NFL playoff games and any prime time regular season game is rigged. The Super Bowl is rigged. FIFA is rigged. The NBA games are rigged as they near the playoffs. MLB is rigged. Forumla 1 is rigged. Everything. All of it.

All of it.

Anyone who understands athletics, a particular sport, and has played a sport at a professional level knows you don't suddenly forget how to throw a phuking football after one half, or forget how to hit a 10 foot jumper you can hit in your sleep, or "accidentally" throw an interception.

There is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much money in the sports books. Billions upon billions upon billions.

Ever wonder why the NFL mandates an IR list? It's not to "free up space for a player".
