Howard Hesseman, best known for playing Johnny Fever, the radio DJ in the sitcom "WKRP in Cincinnati" has died at age 81.

Hesseman died Saturday in Los Angeles due to complications from colon surgery, his manager Robbie Kass said Sunday.


He played an awesome part and did it fantastic. Thanks for the laughs Jonny.

They should bury him in a Venus Flytrap suit.

Stayed up many a late night as a kid watching that show. Still in syndication I think.

The Thanksgiving episode is one that will make everyone laugh...even turkeys. A sitcom worthy of reruns for sure. And Howard did nail the part

I remember my folks watching that show. Even as a kid there were moments that made me laugh, and I for sure remember Johnny Fever.
