So sad, even if he lived to a ripe old age.

Sidney was one of my favourite actors, especially his work in the 50s and 60s.

I really hate to do these threads as it makes me feel ever older... and lonely.

A fine human being genuine.
His name was difficult to say when looking at the letters, "Poitier" said "Pwoteeaye".
I just called him, "SIR". :-)

They call me Mister Tibbs.. one of my Dad's favorites, made me like it too

No matter what movie I saw him in...I was always captivated...because of his acting he kept me interested and wanting to see more...and now that he is in another dimension I still get to enjoy his movies...thank you Sidney for those gifts.
