When you technically own 1/6th of the planet you don't have to do anything.

I do agree QE has been an incredible ambassador for both Britain and the West, and she'll be missed when the day comes.

For Charles, far and away the BEST thing he could do is quietly retire someplace. It'll be a history-making trainwreck if he has big ideas to prove himself.

As Regent, could he then anoint his son, her grandson, as the King after Elizabeth passes?

The queen will not abdicate, it's her platinum jubilee next year. She would be the first monarch to celebrate this.

Unless she dies of course.

Charles could do that after the Queen dies as he would be King but he won't probably for the same reasons as his mother.

I think William should lead his life , enjoy some freedom and get some life experience before that burden is placed upon him.

One of the Princes is all over the news today, due to Pedo accusations.

That would mean his brother, his nephews, and niece died, and the blame would fall on him since him and his wife already said "we are one plane crash away from the throne"
