From the link
christianitynewsdaily.com...
A billionaire from Utah, Jeff T. Green, said he was resigning this week from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in an unusually high-profile rebuke of the church’s wealth and position on social issues.

“I believe the Mormon Church has hindered global progress in women’s rights, civil rights and racial equality, and L.G.B.T.Q.+ rights,” he wrote.
The church’s press office did not respond to a request for comment.”

Interesting is the msm headline is Mr Green resigned based on “Gay rights” when in fact he had a list of issues, gay rights being just one

Imagine if every Christian had these thoughts and moved on their conscience to love others as commanded by Christ as opposed to judging and condemning others

Wealth or greed
Women’s rights
Civil rights
Racial equality
And allowing gays to be who they want to be
Important issues worth leaving a church for, good sermon in this story

Thanks
What many don't know though is that the church takes 10% of you gross income out of you bank account that you earn every month.
I know what I'm talking about too by the way.

There are many good people in the church that follow the rullings of its teachings. I've good with the direction of the Church now going back to the old Testament in their Sunday classes. I think a lot of the people these days are thinking did Joseph really destroy all that gold while men and children had no shoes crossing the :Mississippi river?
Anyway many fine people are in this church.

Well I don’t see the point of going back to the OT and it’s teachings unless you are a Jew. Guess mormons are Jews then.
But from what I have read, mormons are not Jews

Ahh, so the Communist hackers got into his phone/PC and found something to extort him with. It was probably either adultery, homosexual adultery, or something illegal. Well, that's why I tell people, stop installing apps that you give permission to record while they are open 24/7 . Or hell, disconnect your internet at home and reduce the number of wireless devices within range of a signal which can be activated remotely and set to auto record everything happening anyways. Keep them in signal interference enclosures.

My money is on homosexual adultery considering the spontaneous about face with regards to that topic.

Sounds good... for most things.
But when it comes down to criminal acts, I am okay with condemning people.
Take a serial rapist or serial murderer for instance... telling them to go and sin no more seems a bit silly.

I lived in AZ for a couple of years, and felt completely lost without my family.

Every Mormon person I met went out of their way to invite me to their homes, be there for me, and every week two Mormon boys would show up on their bicycles to stop by and chat. I really looked forward to seeing them.

They were so kind to me, and I’ll never forget them!

I'm not sure I would call this going woke.
A man with a family believing his daughters should have equal rights isn't exactly an unreasonable viewpoint.

False premise...

Prove the Mormon church is against his daughter having equal rights.

Note: equal rights does not mean SPECIAL rights...

You must not know any Mormons.
My brother has lived in Utah for thirty years and married a woman that was raised in the Mormon church.
They got hitched in Vegas for obvious reasons.
She has lots of good stories about the church.
Women are definitely not treated equally in the eyes of the church.
From a legal standpoint Mormons must follow the law and constitution but in practice things are not so cut and dried.

That being said, Mormons are not supposed to drink coffee, alcohol or use drugs and tobacco either.
Let's say that many don't strictly adhere to those rules.

There are plenty of stories online from people that have left the church.

people leave Churches all the time. They change denominations all the time.
LOL. They "depart" forums all the time never to be heard from again.

Most simply do not come back without another word.
We have all seen someone do so with a great deal of drama or fanfare.
And you know what you think of them.

Now, this fellow was a member of that denomination for some time.
The membership rules for that denomination did not change . . . the member did.
And it was correct for him to part company.

However his notice was not merely a departure. It was a call for the membership organization to change based on his personal beliefs.

That is woke.
I he wants a church that subscribes to his personal beliefs, then he can start one - he has a billion dollars - go for it.

The Mormon church is structured more similarly to catholicism than protestantism... Meaning a centralized power structure mimicking a state like entity.

There are plenty of valid complaints about the Church of Mormon, and at the end of the day very biblical complaints. Jesus himself said the church shouldn't be political or state like in power (paraphrased).

Almost every Mormon I've met have been incredible people who are kind and have a strong sense of community. But the structure of the church power structure is questionable to be polite, IMO.

Edit: per the females being viewed as equals, can they have multiple husband's? Or is that a one way road?

Yes, for the most part I fully support the legal system, talking more about personal and based on the article and why leave a church
Civil and women’s rights
Greed and equality

Certainly not suggesting crime go unpunished or there be no justice.
When I say condemning, I am talking on a spiritual level as opposed to civil
