New York Legislation set for vote on January 5th, 2022 Provides for indefinite DETENTION of of cases, contacts and carriers of communicable diseases
who are potentially dangerous to the public health at Governor's discretion...
Assembly Bill A416
Heck, according to the stats from Florida's website tracking COVID (
floridahealthcovid19.gov...), this past week had a dramatic increase of new
infections for the entire state. However, upon closer inspection, the greater majority of those numbers were in one county, Dade, which includes the
city of Miami. Several other counties along the east coast of Florida's north/south route 95 corridor also noted increases as well.
My opinion is that, as is normal for this time of year, a LOT of people from New York, known as "snow birds" by the locals, made their migration down
to Florida and many brought active COVID infections along with them. If New York state goes all hard line on COVID infected via the above mentioned
bill, it's a good chance that many of those New Yorkers now in Florida might not be in all that much hurry to go back home. IMHO, anyway.
