The Crown Prosecution Service has said the case will be heard on January 18th at Westminster Magistrates' Court , Anne Sacoolas will appear by video link to answer a charge of causing death by dangerous driving.
If nothing else it's a chance for the family of Harry Dunn to get their day in court and perhaps a chance for closure for both parties.

Mr Dunn's mother, Charlotte Charles, said: "My family and I are feeling very emotional and overwhelmed, having just learned the news that Mrs Sacoolas is now to face our justice system.

"It is all that we asked for following Harry's death."

Wow, the wheels of justice grind ever so slowly in the UK too.
I hope that she is made to pay for what she did.

There was talk of her serving any sentence given here in the US , not sure if anything came of that or if it would actually happen but at least there's a light at the end of the tunnel for the Dunn family.

Feels like this happened so long ago I hope the family gets the justice they desire.

Another possible outcome is that she has to pay a large fine.

Good, don't care who she's associated with. She should have not been allowed to leave. Diplomatic Immunities should not apply to her driving reckless, and if not mistaken though the article does not state... she was drinking.

Even if it was an honest accident, she should have stayed in good faith.

It was just an accident.

The same thing has happened quite a few times. Usually by silver tops..

It was just an accident.

Nobody is saying it wasn't an accident but if a member of your family was accidentally killed by someone else wouldn't you want that person to answer for their actions that resulted in the death of your loved one ?
I know I would.

Agreed.
I thought it looked shady when she took advantage of the diplomatic immunity trick to leave.
Bad form, if nothing else, IMO.

driving without due care and attention/careless driving should be the minimum charge. Lets face it if you are on the opposite side of the road it is without doubt careless and not showing due care and attention

Her lawyers have admitted that already, let the judge and jury decide her punishment now

Harry Dunn death: Anne Sacoolas lawyers say she 'drove on wrong side of road'

Anne Sacoolas drove on the "wrong side of the road for 20 seconds" before the fatal crash, her lawyers said

Sure, it was an accident, but that doesn't mean there is no accountability, there is a process, she was whisked away before that.
