I have a rule: preserve nature outside the house; any intruders are fair game.

It's easy to apply to fiddleback spiders.

(Brown Recluse)

It's easy to apply to Black Widow spiders.

And cockroaches.

Should I use glue traps for the mice and release them or just use snap traps?

If you own a snake and have a need for mice then do so if not they are pests same as spiders and other things which are undesirable and have invaded your space.

Cockroaches, i don't like those.

Kind of my Kryptonite if I'm honest.

The joys of growing up in an 80s housing scheme put pale to my love of the horrible little bastards.

If the world starts again it will most lightly be with those.

Agree with your sentiment however whatever wanders in becomes part of my "Catch & Release" program.
The Lowdown;
Capturing chipmunks in the house is not only a huge time-suck but an olympic event. It goes all the way downhill into hour 3 when you finally grasp they are smarter and more resourceful than anticipated.

That any news report of a woman who was killed by a vehicle at 2AM holding a Gordon Lightfoot album and a transparent two gallon pail, did not in fact commit vehicular suicide. It's actually Her relocating a 6ft Rat Snake into the empty field across the road and absolutely not looking as she beelined back to her house.

Reports of woman being murdered was just her discovering the Rat Snake had been living in her bedroom. The screaming will stop in a day or two. Probably.

Since the ATS New Topics page doesn't show punctuation, I was expecting to see a short video of a couple mice who somehow managed to overtake and defeat a snake. 'Mice got a snake'

Needless to say, this thread was slightly disappointing.

I used to have a pet snake. I can't remember if someone told me this, or if I read it, or if I reached this conclusion on my own, but I was under the impression that it wasn't a good idea to feed wild mice to a pet snake because of possible diseases they could be carrying that my snake would not be immune to since she had always eaten mice grown in captivity.

But if you had a cat, the mice would either leave or at least do a much better job at staying hidden.
