They obviously deserve repeated beatings while they are imprisoned. Execution would be far too easy on them.
I'm sure this would be considered as cruel and unusual punishment, but I do think they deserved the death penalty, but not the actual execution.
In my opinion, the punishment part of a death sentence does not happen at the moment of execution. The punishment is knowing the date ahead of time,
and especially when counting down the last couple of weeks.
These 2 deserve a death penalty that is repeatedly postponed over and over and over and over time and time again, for decades. Wait until the last
minute every dam time....
Then, "Woops. I forgot the paperwork. We can't do it today. Guess we'll have to set a new date.'
I'm sure the prison could come up with plenty of excuses to continue postponing it.
That's probably how the boy felt for a long time. There were probably many times when he thought, "Surely this will end soon." From his point
of view, it was probably similar to being stranded alone in the middle of the Pacific, when you see a rescue boat coming straight towards you, but it
didn't stop. They just went right on by and kept going....
