I have a rule about this. If the business advertises the race of the owner, whether it be "black owned business", "Pakistani owned business", or "white owned business", I just avoid them. I will not give them my business because they are the problem.

Yep this terrorist groups like BLM and antifa wants the black owned business to get enough cash in their registers and plenty of merchandise, so they can come back later and loot their business to extinction.

The irony of the terrorist in the US is incredible.

I did pretty much the same. Found a BBQ place that is owned by a Black family. Do I eat there because they are Black? No. I eat there because the food and service is excellent. I pay a little more, but, to me it's worth it. I used to eat in Mom and Pop places when I was in the South. That's where I learned what good BBQ was. This place makes it the same way.

Quality has a habit of standing out. It doesn't matter what the sex, race or sexual orientation the owner is. To me BLM just insulted every Black business owner. To me it is the same as if that had said "We're going to help you out because we don't think that you can compete with other businesses without our help."

I'm the proud patron of black-owned restaurants. Specifically Jamaican and East African cuisine.

Note: I do not patronize these businesses because the owners are black, but because the food is spectacular.

I have allergies that pretty much stops me from trying that. When I found the BBQ place I told the owner about my allergies and he took a copy of his menu and highlighted what I could eat.

I'm with you.
We have four Chinese restaurants in town and I always use the same one because of the food and service.

Exactly. If a restaurant bills itself as a specific type of cuisine or a store that sells goods from a specific country or region, I can make the mental connection, I don't need it pointed out to me. If you go out of your way to say you're "X" owned, fair enough that's on you and I'm sure my single person won't impact your business.

I know a woman who owns a part of five different companies. She doesn't do anything, just allows her name to be used so the company qualifies as woman owned. Under the regulations the woman doesn't have to own the entire company oreven controlling interest. She just collects her paychecks.

especially these days when the insane and racist leftists try to shut down any "white owned/run " non white American/European restaurants. while screaming about how dare a "white person", culturally appropriate another culture's food. as i have seen in several news articles over the last few years.

I like how they're all "No buying cheap capitalist crap" until they get the part about it being black-owned and/or black-made crap ... Then you can be as capitalist as you want and buy all the sh1t!

Interesting to see so many people who object to BLM saying they won't follow their guidance.

Well duh!

I'm broadly sympathetic with BLM and I won't be following their guidance either.

You earn your money, do what you like with it. It's not for me to tell you what to do with it. Don't care what you do with it.

So why are some of you getting upset?
