This is dedicated to my friends on ATS and elsewhere.
Philia: A Poem For Friends
If not for friends where would we be;
For friends break bitter monotony.
What wouldn’t Mankind do for friends?
For friendship begins when losses end;
When life’s path wends for friends it stops.
Wrought places for friends some family cannot.
But for friends’ support our legs would fail;
Our love for friends can cure what ails.
Can lift our sails, for friends know how
Word or deed for friends can soothe the brow.
To intuit what to do for friends in return,
May we listen and gauge for friends and discern,
Leave space for friends till time stitches wounds,
For friends might need us to lean on soon.
(this is the first pic I uploaded to ats!)
Hope you have a great day!!
